Seriously? What for a bullcrap is that? Is seriously Mashima trying to teach the kids that it doesn't matter how much you train at something or how good you are that the only thing that matters is how emo you are? Really? It's basically saying that wasting time fooling around with friends is more important than working on getting better at something because in the end those with more friends should win everything. And he's seriously portraying it as a "moral" of the story. This completely tops Nanoha Strikers in sending the worst message I've seen.
Well, it's not a secret that in FT the Power of Friendship can surpasses anything...

I was actually thinking the same thing. Does this mean that Jura is stronger than Makarov now? I remember that he said he was no where near his level in a previous arc but that was before the time skip. Was 7 years really enough time to get that much stronger?
FT members had an extreme power-up in less than 3 months, so I think it's possible...

Sting destroys Minerva and goes on a hate rampage, exhausts Jura, Jura wins Laxus pulls the double kill.
But I guess it's not naive enough for FT, doesn't get the friendship deal out openly enough.

And even though I know it will, nakama powerup should not work here. Its annoying enough when its used on every mildly tough villain, but Jura's a different opponent, not in that hes strong but in that hes one of the most heroic characters not in Fairy Tail. He clearly cares about his guild and his friends. Hell, the dude sacrificed himself to save Natsu and company from an explosion during the Oracion Seis arc. If Laxus wins through the usual asspull, then the message changes from the already stupid "the power of friendship beats everything no matter what" to the selfish "the power of friendship only applies if you're part of the cool kids guild."
And I realize this hasn't actually happened yet, but you all know its coming. And 5 internet bucks says that Sting drops in during Laxus's victory celebration and takes him out when hes exhausted.

so now I think I can assume that Jura is stronger than Makarov, but I think it still does not take other strong mage like Jellal and Gildartz ( and of course Natsu lol ) into account, Although I think this 4 Saint most likely still stronger than Jellal or Gildartz ...
