Fairy Tail Chapter 318 Discussion

Somebody said where is the logic, and that DS should only be able to eat their own elements. Don't forget Natsu got sick when eating Etherion. Gajeel could be sick after eating the shadow, so the logic is there, they eat something other than their own element and they get sick. Not even sick, violently ill.



Though Natsu managed to retain the lightning element from Laxus. I also feel maybe he didn't get sick from it because it came from another DS? Or what somebody else said in that lighting and fire may be(or are) closely related. Maybe then Gajeel won't be sick since this shadow also came from another DS. At the same time when you think about it, this gave Gajeel a new form, he's not going to look like that every fight now so it may be a one off power up that will make him sick. Or it could be his SSJ form, since 1st generation DS can't enable Dragon Force on their own, they'd need some sort of other power up.



I may be incorrect about certain details or forgetting something, so please correct me if I am wrong(without sounding like a know it all! Hehe). :)

Rogue/Shadow was growing on me this chapter, oh well, he had his 5 seconds of fame.



Time to put that kid in his place, Gajeel.  I hope this turns out to be a permanent power-up for him, just like Natsu has lightning/fire (though that makes me question Rogue's future role, lol).

Late to the discussion, but here my take on the chapter.



Before Gajeel crazy looking transformation, I thought he was gonna die this way like in the future vision with Levy by his side, but this might be true later I dunno. Yuikino disappeared with the knight, I wonder what they're up too. If Mira does find them, I bet its gonna be difficult to get them back. Anyone feel bit iffy about Mira and her feelings for Yuikino? Her strong connection kind of represent what she feels for her younger sister and that earlier comment about Yuikino looks like her makes me wonder if Hiro has in store.



Theory

Only the first generation DS can absorb other elements, DS magic is something to be learn and Godslayer to me, it might be normal magical power that is advance than fire magicians we see throughout the story. I'm basing this off what we are provided so far. If Laxus starts absorbing than this theory is debunked.



Regarding if Rogue shadow is Zeref or not or even if its his dragon residing inside him is up in the air. I wonder if Raven Tail or another group planted that evil shadow in Rogue and would Gajeel be possessed by this evil.



Looks like Hiro is setting up multiple wins for Fairy Tail, because we have not seen the result for Erza yet.

Except Mavis said it is an evil she has never felt. And she was on the same island with Zeref for god knows how many years.Regarding that, would it be possible that Rogue shadow power came from Acnologia?

Pretty sure you're wrong. Unless Mashima himself expressly stated so. If that's the case then we should say the OVA where it is revealed how Natsu got his scar is also not canon. Oh but wait it IS canon.
