Jella & Erza pairing is annoying. Hope he dies soon.
Too bad we didn't get Kagura & Ultear fanservice though. Maybe next time.

Despite the fanservice, this chapter was dedicated for relief and to cultivate character relationships. This chapter had little to nothing to do with what you are saying.

this. It was not exactly a filler. Since we saw a progression of the relationships and characters we have.
Just because there were no explosions, it does not mean its a filler.

Well,Rogue's past would be interesting(since we don't know anything about him).But we might get it later.
We still don't know if they will take part on the last day too(they probably will,unless they're expelled or something).If they do,we'll definitely see some more of them.
Aaaand if they're expelled,Natsu will probably be full of rage.
I imagined the Master of ST to kick them out after the last day. I mean honestly unlike Yukino who get replaced by the best Sting and Rogue have been clearly stated to be his 2/5 best. Kicking them before the last day would be stupid both for his victory (since there is only one point of difference) and for the image/status of his guild

There wasn't any story, only characters getting trolled a little.
It wasn't a comedy cuz it failed hard at trying to be funny.
A good manga doesnt need fanservice to be intresting .. just go watch some hentai if you're into that shit.
The time Mashima wasted on drawing this would have been better spended thinking of a decent story

If it wasn't funny? Why did other people laugh or enjoy it? Myself included.
The fanservice doesn't make it interesting. Its the content (like pairings) and character interactions that comes with it.
Story: It takes place between chapter 290.
We found out that Ravel Tail was not arrested, The mysterious girl is shown and it was after her appearance in 289 after Wendys battle.
We see what Laxus did after Makarov said he should cheer her up after talking about Lumen Histoire. We found out what Elfman did after he said "She's a WOMAN" (Evergreen)
No, you cant think develop the entire story while drawing. else you'll end up with a boring story with lots of plot holes.
Humor is something personal and since it didn't make me laugh one bit, so it failed in that regard.
This chapter was overflown with fanservice, and there were no new character interactions besides from the ones that were already established.
This event does take place around chapter 290, but why aren't Elfman and Wendy in bed with injuries?
Raventail wasn't arrested was the only interesting thing in this chapter, but its uncertain if that is actually important since Laxus can 1v5 them anyway if they try something new.
Since this is a honest post I'll reply.

Just look at Ichiya's slip. Hilarious
Wendy was healed seconds after fighting with Chelia.(Their interaction was a new one btw)
Elfman could have healed. He could have feigned still being injured after his "date" with Ever.

Jenny and Mira (+Lisanna)
Ichiya and Natsu
Kinanna and Lucky
Cana and Quatro Fodder
