Poor girl. Ah, well. She can only get better from here. :)

now we see a little more of kyoko chan's introspective side. she attributes her good acting to everyone but herself, which i think is selling herself short :(

sure, ren is a pro actor who can draw out genuine reactions from people. there's nothing she could've done about that since his experience and expertise is far greater than hers.

sure, those tea ceremony skills and posture lessons were taught to her by sho's mother to train kyoko to be sho's wife, but imo it doesn't take away from the fact that she kept and utilized those skills by her own power for her own benefit.



this is a very eye opening chapter for kyoko chan because she realizes that everything that she was taught as a child was for sho one way or another :<

i'm glad she has the resolve to become her own person now that she's realized this. seeing her perspective and inside her thoughts is so interesting!

i agree with ren that her motive for becoming a star is misguided. i hope kyoko chan can realize that soon because with her mindset as it is now, she is still living for sho. even tho it is to get revenge on him, she still sets him as a goal when she should be acting and trying to claim stardom for herself for no other reason than to be an amazing actor. i think her epiphany and change in motive is coming because we saw a glimpse of it in this chapter where she wanted to be good as and even better at acting than ren.
