Buraiden Gai Chapter 18 Discussion

                        ----------------------------------------

Well Gai may have proven that it can be useful to be a bent rod rather than an upright one, yet they had him covered in the end.  It’s really no surprise it went like this, if we assume there’s no way Gai escapes so soon then he either misses the rod hook, or he makes it, we get false hope, and then the true stakes are raised as it’s taken away.  Gai is on an island surrounded by water, getting past those walls means nothing.  And I had assumed this institute wouldn’t want to kill the kids but they risked killing Gai!  Truthfully they do already break many laws by treating them like this to begin with I presume so maybe I was super wrong to think that.  Smooth moves to swing back inside on Gai’s part.

I definitely liked seeing Gai out of his element, “JESUS!!! DO YOU HAVE TO GO THIS FAR O.O”?!  It was charming.  I loved the director blowing on the tape too.  But it means that stealing that tape back will be a difficult task now.  That and Gai must find out what to do about this ocean.  Can he contact Abe somehow?  Can he use something as a boat?  I don’t know!  But what happened now is he woke up in a claustrophobic, pitch black place completely naked.  That seems freaking awful and I suppose it may be similar to the solitary confinement I’ve seen prisoners put in during films.  Those holes are probably for air.

It literally happened the same!
