she wound up with Wanibuchi, the last page was their daughter transferring to the same dormitory that Eimi lived in throughout this manga because of her parents stories about meeting each other there.

you can tell because she says her parents live in Mexico, and there's no reason Simone would move there. that is if you needed that kind of hint when it was so blatantly obvious from the first chapter that Eimi would wind up with Wanibuchi and that Simone was just a place holder until the writer felt like allowing them to get together.

it was a fun manga, even though the ending was both extremely abrupt and very predictable. I get the feeling that it was canceled suddenly and with little warning.

Just like everyone said here, the story ended too abruptly. I feel incomplete honestly. It’s a shame Simone was more of the focus half the time than Wanibuchi was. Simone was a very irrelevant character altogether. The chemistry between Wanibuchi and Eimi was so good; there should’ve been more to work with. At the very least the final volume gave us that chemistry throughout the whole book.

I have a soft spot for this manga not just because I grew up with it but because the subtle romance was impactful. It wasn’t over the top and it was heartwarming. I want MORE.

Can we also acknowledge the amazing humor in this manga? It actually made me laugh.

The ending was indeed abrupt. I feel like crying every time Shimonuki appears. The poor guy gets left behind. I hope he finds a good girl who would love him as much as he loves her.

A good shoujo. I appreciated the focus on friendship and the lack of mean-spirited competition between Wanachin and Simone. Eimi was a good protagonist and I also liked the fact that the other girls at the dorm were developed as well, and that there were no catty conflicts between them. Gotta appreciate Sawaguchi's subplot too, him rejecting Ichi (low bar, but still), and the lampshading of the Shoujo Confession to a much older man.

With all that buildup, it feels like the conflict between Wanachin wasn't actually resolved. It wasn't even...brought up when they met again, really. It felt weird, considering how much Wanachin didn't want his father to come to school for him, that he would just...sit down and have casual conversation with him like that, even if Eimi calmed him down.

The ending was abrupt, but now that I think about it, I feel that it would've felt off somehow if we saw them kiss or confess. At several points in the story I realized that I would've been perfectly OK with everyone ending up as just friends. Simone never came off as more than a friend to Eimi from the start, so her ending up with Wanachin was inevitable if the mangaka wanted to pair her up with someone; it was kind of frustrating to see him so hesitant in telling Eimi how he feels, though.

The oneshot chapter was kinda meh. Nothing that hasn't been done before.

8/10 overall.

I really thought this series would be out of the ordinary, and that, for the first time, i'd get to see the main characters be just friends. It made sense up to some point. Eimi could've stayed with Simone and think of Wanichin as her big-brother. And vice-versa. And i agree on the "it ended really abruptly" statement.
