This has to be one of the best chapters of the series, the art was simply stunning and the content presented was top tier. The tragedy can't be avoided, war is not ending, vinland seems just like a utopia that can never be reached, just like the fairytale of artorius. But the journey can't be pointless nonetheless, there has to be a kind of satisfaction that the characters (and especially thorfin) will get, something more important than just reaching a utopian dream, i'm curious to see yukimura's take and how is he planning to end this masterpiece. Failure was a theme that was present from the beginning (with thors, Askellad, thorkel, arnheid, ketil..) some of the got to achieve something that at least gave a meaning to their lives (Thors sacrifice, Askellad sacrifice) some of them got nothing but pain (arnheid, ketil) i'm hoping thorfin and canute will got some kind of payoff to their attempts of creating something that can't be reached.
The depiction of the ritual was amazing to say the least, yukimura has always something interesting to portray.
Next chapter is about canute, this arc has been incredible so far, the tension is building up slowly but surely, we have more insight on the side characters and the themes are slowly converging to the final act. I can't wait to see how this story will end, pleaaaase yukimura don't fuck up the ending, you can write one the most heartbreaking and thematically outstanding endings of all time. He already said this will be the best arc, and i'm seeing evidences of that being potentially true, it only needs a good ending and this can reach the quality of the farming arc or even surpass it.
If yukimura ruins the end i'll probably never pick up an anime or manga series again.
