Vinland Saga Chapter 129 Discussion

It felt so refreshing to see Thorfinn do some hand-to-hand combat once again. Without breaking a sweat, he handled those seasoned warriors and showed glimpses of the Thorfinn of old.

Don't get me wrong, I can understand the whole theme of a noble and peaceful Thorfinn graduating from his bloody past and setting out on that journey to Vinland. It's a nice message and refers to life in general, beautiful stuff etc etc.

Even so, part of me still can't forget the badass Thorfinn we were shown for the first 80-ish chapters and however rare those moments may be in the current part of the story, I will enjoy them every single time.

Good chapter, just got up to date, so i dont think it hit as hard as the readers who had to wait a month for the chapter. Great to see Thorfinn back to his savage viking self, even if it was only for a chapter. Im keen to see Vagn

Nice chapter, really nice to see the Thorfinn I remember back again. Based Thorfinn indeed.

"the wolf cannot live with the sheep"

And Thorfinn is the wolf...

Apparently they will never leave Thorfinn alone until now because of his past, until he demonstrates his capabilities in the Baltic Sea War...

We started the arc of the Baltic Sea incredible.

Love how Thorfinn matured and changed throughout this series looking back, but one thing hasn't changed, he's still a bad ass!

Thorfinn seems stronger than ever, especially with Hild bscking him up. Thorfinn doesn't want to fight, but one way or another he will get dragged into this messs.

I thought Thorfinn was going to let Floki's men have their way with him and leave with the moral victory as usual
