Gavin Mallard always wanted a superpower. Kids with superpowers got the best of everything, were treated like heros and attended Lord Thumbledown\'s School of Heroics. When he truly does develop a superpower the day after his sixteenth birthday, he assumes he\'s recieved his ticket to the good life. Unfortunately, his superpower is pretty lame, and so he\'s sent off to the St. Hibbard\'s Very Special Academy, known to the students as the School for the Unimpressive.

First about the synopsis, though it is short, it made me curious and that's a good start for a book. Coming to the story though it seems like a common weak to strong, it is very different. The MC is so life like and understand his emotions and this cis because of smooth and perfect writing skills of the author. Definetely a great book.

No matter what school it is, the time spent in it is a search for your identity, your own self so it's always a good topic to write about.
I like your character and I wonder how he will find his own identity, and develop his powers. I am sure his journey will be as interesting as a few chaps I just read.
    Good luck with the contest!

Academy story? I'm in. The starting chapters were pretty good and immersive, and I appreciate the author's vast vocab and good English, which helps with the reading experience. So far the mc has just entered the academy in the title and things have been progressing quite naturally. The world building from the start is pretty ok, IMO. Looking forward to reading more. Good luck, author!

A very enjoyable and fluid read.
One should read the School of The Uninpressive for what it is, not what it is not.
What is it then? It is in the title, the story isn't a grandiose weak-to-overpowered story or underdog revenge plot, it is simply a novel about people the bad middle ground of society, in the novel being people who are special enough to be isolated from the mundane world but not special enough to benefit anything from it, essentially cursed by their 'blessing'.
What this story is, is also a well-written story deserving of a good read.
Take some time to add it to your library and read it.
Keep up the great work, author.
Have a good day, author and everyone else.

quite a good story. it is not easy when you pitch the ordinary with the exceptional. that sounds like a boring one sided match but it actually is not. i was reminded of the movie small soldiers where the gorgons who have been programmed to hide finally decide to fight. maybe i will see that in this story.
    good job by the author.
