My Husband Disappeared The Night I Was Thinking About Divorce

I thought of him as a husband who respected, cared for and loved me.
Until I heard his true feelings that night.

“You gave the woman this job? It’s no use.”
“If she can’t do it. Don’t ask me to do anything.”

My husband referred to me as ‘the woman’.
He seemed to have told others, “She wouldn’t be able to do anything,” behind my back.

I came to think of divorcing my husband. There was no way that I could live with him as an aristocrat or an adult.
I couldn’t sleep in the same bed with such a man.
