Cultivating In Secret Beside A Demoness

A real romanceless romance that really resembles the typical low key sign in novels despite there being no signing in. Our protagonist gets assaulted by some generic demoness sect leader character.

Since this is a Chinese novel he isn't mentally scarred or traumatised but instead just brushes it off while the sect leader apparently has some mixed feelings about this. This is weirdly messed up morally but fine, let's move on.

Generic protagonist, generic cultivation system/world, generic characters and generic luck based cheat. While this novel does make me yawn unfortunately I've read more chapters of worse. This is essentially a spiritual successor to sign in novels but with a poorly thought out and currently non existent romance narrative to push the story.

The part of this novel that resembles the low key sign in novels is mundane but I can kinda force myself to read it, it's not bad. The relationship with the sect master however is just tedious. I don't care for the morality of the characters have and the fact that the protagonist has no animosity or any kind of feeling in particular (besides fear) towards the sect master is just strange.

Somewhat generic part sign in part detached romance with some translation errors (awkward and hard to understand wording). I do like the laid back, chill vibes of this novel though so although I've criticised this a lot, I don't hate it, I'm actually fairly biased towards it but I'm also a bit confounded. 2/5.

This novel is fantastic, i also read the other novel of this author so i have good expectation from him.

I really wonder if there's any interest in living a life like mc's, he only has the goal of living, but his life is pathetic, without flavor, without taste, without anything, all the time used by others, all the time exploited by others. moreover, the stronger he becomes, the weaker I feel he becomes, the author made sure not to speak of a level of culture of the strong people of the sect of sudden never know if the mc is strong or what closer to the strong...
i have a feeling this is going to be a novel the mc will always be down in until the last chapters of the novel, then he unravels it, but to me that's definitely the worst thing, i have I've read a similar novel before, and honestly the ending was so bland that I wished I had even read it.
FYI, I'm currently on chapter 410.

I don't know what to say, I am speechless. The MC here is a public road as anyone can walk all over him. And what does the MC does, he keeps his head down and then takes revenge in secret and then it repeats. I get why he does this but c'mon there is a limit to how much of coward one can be. I read the novel till 220 chapter and the character of the MC never changed. I read 220 chapters hoping he will be less of a slave to the FMC but no and I just cheaked the chapters near 900 and he is still the same.

something you should know before reading this novel:1. Why is there even a romance tag? 2. Mc is weak... Yes you heard it right weak, no jokes here3. Why he behaves so timid? Ewww I hate this kind of mc 4. Is that even a system? From my point of view system is a type of cheat that makes you op in a very short amount of time, he only reached the 9th level of the first realm in over 10  years. Can you even call it a cheat?5. No motivation6. Why is it seems like he doesn't have any intelligence? 7. Boring concept (always the same)8. Irritating beta behaviour of mc 9. No world-building10. Ahh, as usual, not even trying to explain the characters' looks... Sword-like eyes?

oh I already read more than 600 chapters of this one.
Low key mc who doesn't want to offend anyone but surely will take revenge silently .
A good read for those people who like low key mc, hide his real level, single female lead (Romance without romance) etc.

I can’t understand why people are praising this novel as something worth to read. I don’t know if it’s because the translation is just bad but most of the dialogues are too stupid. The behaviors of the characters are not something someone with a normal brain would do.
