The whole city knew that Wen Yining had climbed into Xi Yu’s bed just to marry into the Xi family.
On their wedding night, he tossed the ring onto the table, his voice as cold as ice: “Since you’ve schemed your way in, then know your place and stay out of my sight.”
Wen Yining nodded, clutching her quilt as she headed for the sofa. Pitiful as she appeared on the outside, she was secretly overjoyed.

Xi Yu pulled her back into his arms, resting his chin on the crown of her head with a low chuckle.
“You were the one who insisted on marrying me in the first place, baby.”
