Jiang Li grew up in poverty and was fortunately taken in as an adopted daughter by Guang\'an Earl for stability. She was extraordinarily beautiful and skilled in the arts of medicine. At thirteen, she became famous in Chang\'an. Later, she married the Prince of Jiangling County, becoming his wife as destined. However, tragedy struck at the age of fifteen - a plague ravaged Chang\'an, and on New Year\'s Eve, the Crown Prince died of illness. Due to Guang\'an Earl Wei Jie\'s inadequate treatment as the Chief Physician at the time, he fell from grace and was imprisoned. Unexpectedly, Jiang Li\'s truthful testimony became crucial evidence, leading to Wei\'s family being executed. Due to her act of justice against her own family, Jiang Li not only escaped punishment but was also granted marriage by imperial decree. For a while, the people condemned her for repaying kindness with enmity, cursing her to an ill-fated end - until she died in a three-day fire at the Fengshen Jile Pavilion. Five years later, as the pavilion was rebuilt, the unrighteous Jiang Li had been forgotten in the capital, while Xue Ling, the long-lost daughter of the East River Xue family, returned to Chang\'an. Kidnapped in her youth, Xue Ling was later adopted by a medical family in the martial world, gaining fame three years ago for reviving the leader of the Liedao Gate after seven days of death. Amidst frequent mysterious incidents in Chang\'an, Xue Ling\'s ability to both save lives and investigate deaths brought her both fame and trouble. Within three days of her return home, the general\'s mansion became embroiled in a major case. Within two months of her return, the young marquis was exposed and exiled. Within half a year of her return, the position of the East Palace heir was about to be abolished. Xue Ling watched the chaos in Chang\'an, unaware that someone was targeting her. Surprisingly, that person was Pei Yan, a prominent figure in the capital. Xue Ling was furious: \"You are Jiang Li\'s archenemy, what business do you have with me, Xue Ling?\"Many years later, Jiang Li wrote in a letter to her old friend: \"In this life, I have no regrets. I owe much to Pei Yan. Only by surviving can I make up for everything.\"

Oh would you look at that, you usual brain rot title, your usual horny mind cover page. What can you even expect on this site?...What's that? Wait, you mean this novel is good? Oh hell nah............is it?This novel is what I can only assume to be a continuation of OWE, the previous (incomplete) work by Mr. Stache. It follows our usual plot, you have the main character, annnnnnnnnnnd he's dead. Now's he's transmigrating? Oh wow, he's transmigrating into a nearly dead Villain in a novelesque scene. How Original!~Any moment now, we'll hit the regression button and go back to the ver--...Huh. No regression it seems. Instead, what is this, a Soap Opera? Ah... the characters are viewing the past thanks to some holy artifact, and they find out that the man that they put on death's door, the one who they thought of as the most villainous monster in history, he was in actually a soft man!? With a soft heart, that had no choice but to freeze under the assaults of the world. Wow, how sad...I can almost shed a tear...Tears for all the readers that dismiss this story as your usual webnovel bullshit. TL;DR: This novel is a gut-wrentcher that does not hold back on its punches when it slams the waterworks. Go read it, I'm not asking. Zi Long Ling Long Land Verisioness~~~Let's start with some concrete stuff before I start fan-boying. 1. Writing Quality: Top Notch. You hardly find any grammatical error, if any. Sentences? To the point, no BS mode. Obviously, it switches things up when expositions need to take center stage. To illustrate, long time webnovel readers of the modern day, the xianxia and system enthusiasts, the exposition sounds like a mirror. It's fun, humorous, and tries to give everything personality in a place where all you can find are edgelords who wish to see nothing but a similarly edgelord MC with a gazillion wives and strength that slaps people over and over again. It doesn't feel boring, but rather consistent. 8/10Update Schedule: Check the frequency of OWE's updates. You'd expect this new novel to be dead by now no? How surprising it must be, to find that the author hasn't missed a single fucking day since he first began?Let's hope he doesn't go on a long ass smoke break again.  10/10World Building: Take LoTM, but tone it down a few levels, and remove the 60 page exposition of how smooth and buttery the chicken peas are, or how juicy the pork is. Okay, maybe tone LoTM down a few more levels. Whatever it is, it's enough. The author expects you to go through the story and understand shit when needed, so he doesn't bore you with stuff. However, you can see that the world that they live in has history. Now how it develops in the future is not something I can say. For now, 6.3/10. Character Design: Take a character, introduce him/her to the main character, familiarize and build up rapport with the readers, and then kill them off. Textbook formula no?What's hard? Doing all this and executing in such a way that the death HITS.What's harder? Doing all THAT, in less than 90 chapters, TWICE, with a bunch of shit happening in the background. For those that we've gotten to properly experience, all I can say is that they are fleshed out as hell. But for the others who we haven't yet reached, they still live a lil 2D. And the crowd has personality, but not enough. For now, 6+Potential(10)/10Story Development: Twists here, twists there, plot points that make the author seem like a man with a plan (or a smartass, choose your fancysmansy), and wonderful execution to a point. Good shit. The characters act in a way that can be understood. As one 'I'm the second coming of Jesus' would say:Reasonable Development.  8.5/10 (high balling a teeny amount because of potential)..I started fanboying anyway. FUCK. Well, whatever. From what I've heard, the story won't be SS long, but more in the fields of 'it's enough.' Start reading, because no way in hell am I letting myself be the only one suffering due to cliffhangers. (binged the entire shit fortunately, and we're just now entering the new volume, so there's shit to be seen.)Overall rating: 4.6384/5. MOARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR--

Every book by this author is like discovering a hidden gem. There's a unique charm in their storytelling that draws me in immediately, with characters who feel like friends and stories that resonate on a deep level. The pacing is always perfect, building anticipation and delivering twists that keep me on the edge of my seat. What I admire most is how the author manages to convey complex emotions in such a subtle, yet powerful way.

I am only on chapter 12, and the only real bad thing i have to say about this is that the writing quality is just random for some reason. In some parts, it's good, in others, it's almost unreadable. Other than that, it's a nice, quick read.

The writing is poetic and evocative. Every sentence feels intentional, and the descriptions are so vivid, you can picture every scene in your mind. Truly a work of art.
