Title: Book 2: The Shadow Alpha Series
---
In the midst of a dense forest, a sudden embrace left me immobile. Bulky arms wrapped around my waist, halting any further movement from above. A deep, gravelly voice asked, "Why are you trailing me?" His husky whisper sent a wave of excitement through me, though only after a moment did I realize I was pressed against a tree, my senses alight with every fiery touch of his cobalt gaze.
Jasper Queen towered over me, his expression stern and expectant. Despite his hand no longer muffling my voice, I struggled for words, my voice barely audible. "I-I wasn't stalking you," I stuttered, hoping my sincerity would be enough.
He scoffed, "So you merely coincidentally wandered this way, parallel to my path?" It was clear he didn't believe me, yet I searched my surroundings, a sense of familiarity tugging at my memory. I nodded hesitantly, trying to make sense of it all.
Jasper's sharp slap against the tree beside me startled me, and our eyes locked, his piercing gaze more vivid than any pencil sketch I'd ever seen in my own book. Each word he spoke vibrated through his palm, his intensity leaving me breathless. "Stop lying!"
"I'm not!" I insisted, feeling tears welling up, "I would never deceive my true partner." But his eyes hardened, negating any trace of tenderness.
"You're not my mate," he declared coldly.

Lots of things happening at once, lots of caracters introduced at once,it is somewhat fast paced, but also a lot of explanations in between, plus weird gramar.
Interesting so far
The most level headed and normal mc you will ever find.
