"No, I don't," she replied, causing a murmur among the crowd. My heart raced in fear as I whispered her name. "Isabel," I pleaded, "you once said you loved me." "I lied," she exclaimed, drawing gasps from the audience. "I am in love with someone else!" My heart shattered at her words. "If there's anything I've done wrong, please forgive me. If more wealth is what you desire, I'll provide it. You have my black card and all our riches," I begged, taking her trembling hands into mine. "You could shower me with money and jewels until the end of time, but it wouldn't change the fact that your immense wealth feels suffocating," she said. "Your love blinded me, and now, I am wealthy because of you, but it's not enough to keep me here."
