    having read up to the current chapter, I have to say this book exceeded expectations, and I would highly, highly recommend it. hope it goes for 10 million chapters and author writes until he's 90.

    Mischa's eyes widened as she moved to Maximus' side. He was so large and she looked tiny. I hoped I didn't look that small and delicate against the Compasses. I moved across to her, and leaning in gave her a hug goodbye, before whispering in her ear: "He can scent your interest. I'm not sure if you care that he knows, but if you do … try and tone down the arousal."

    Rising from the sidewalk, I noticed she'd followed me outside.  Dressed in armor made of blue-white ice, she stalked toward me with twin swords made of ice.  They had serrated edges, and were curved like sabers.  Another of her threats, the blizzard following her out of the house like an eager puppy.
