I usually don’t get second male lead syndrome, but honestly? The main lead (ML) is a complete idiot. He can't see that the original female lead (ogFL) is lying to him, trying to seduce him, and attempting to replace the current female lead (FL). He doesn’t try to understand FL. He always pushes her away but panics if she seems like she’s actually going to leave. He’s exhausting to love. How can a prince have so little awareness?

The second male lead, on the other hand, understands FL, supports her, and doesn’t try to hold her back. He just wants her to be happy. He’s her childhood friend and genuinely cares for her. He doesn’t interfere with her relationship with ML but asks her what she needs to be happy.

Let’s leave ML behind and run off with the second male lead. ML can keep his regrets.

I don't usually leave reviews this early in a novel, but honestly! The male lead (ML) is attracted to the original female main character (OgMC) because she resembles his mother?! I'm sorry, but I find men with mommy issues deeply unsettling, especially if they seek out women who remind them of their mothers. Regardless of whether the woman is using pheromones to seduce him or anything else, he has a fiancée and seems to have left his sense of responsibility behind. If he’s the heir, the country is in serious trouble.

I would have preferred if the childhood friend was the ML. The only reason I continued reading the book is because of the female main character (MC). She definitely deserves better than this cowardly and pathetic ML.

This might not be the story for you if you're looking for a detailed and engaging novel... After 15 chapters, it’s mostly about the Female Lead (FL) gushing over how attractive the Male Lead (ML) is. The novel doesn’t really delve deep into the personalities of the characters, making them feel quite two-dimensional. It follows a cliché where the FL is in a one-sided love with the ML, and the ML is rather cold towards the FL.
