I absolutely loved it! The pacing was excellent, with a well-developed and healthy relationship between the main character (MC) and the male lead (ML). The plot was well-structured with no glaring inconsistencies, and the concept was unique. The premise revolves around the MC dying and reincarnating into a novel world, where they must complete system tasks to return to their original world. Initially, their role was that of an evil master, but they later took on various other roles such as best friend and savior.

The story takes inspiration from "Scum Villain" and explores a fascinating "what if?" scenario involving the supporting characters Bing-ge and Bing-mei. It's a fresh take on the transmigration and system genre, as it addresses questions about out-of-character (OOC) actions in a thoughtful and innovative way. The novel cleverly unravels that everything is part of a bigger scheme, with the main system seeking energy from the main world through the controlled lives of transmigrated individuals.

The MC and ML's relationship evolves beautifully, with realistic progression and a nuanced emotional journey. They don't instantly forgive or forget past events, which adds depth to their connection. The treatment of Pei Xiaoming, the wolf cub, as a beloved family member adds warmth to the story.

The ending satisfactorily wraps up the narrative, allowing readers to explore the MC and ML's world in their original context. Overall, this novel stands out for its engaging plot, well-developed characters, and the exploration of themes surrounding OOC behavior. I highly recommend it!

What I particularly admire about this novel are two aspects. Firstly, no character is overly powerful or invincible. Although the male lead (ML) is the protagonist and essentially a god, while the main character (MC) is acknowledged as a genius and the world's top cultivator, they still face vulnerabilities and moments of weakness. Nobody gets to escape consequences for their actions, and there's no reliance on a classic damsel-in-distress or savior dynamic between the two.

Secondly, the characters' thought processes are impressively mature. For instance, to maintain the balance of the world, the ML must undergo a challenging path to godhood. The MC, as the ML's teacher, is compelled by the system to subject the ML to immense physical and emotional torment. Yet, the MC accepts that torturing the ML was morally reprehensible, even if they later secretly aid him. This act does not absolve them, not even after the ML seeks revenge.

Simultaneously, despite the MC's immense control over the ML's life and causing unimaginable pain, the ML comprehends the reasons behind the MC's actions and sincerely hopes for the MC's self-forgiveness.

Honestly, this book exceeded my expectations significantly. The pacing is fantastic, and the male lead (ML) is intelligent, not wasting any time in his pursuit of the female lead (MC), unlike many other novels that tend to drag on unnecessary subplots. What truly surprised me was the ML's character development - initially, I anticipated a merging of the original (OG) and current versions of Pei Ming, but it turned out that they remained distinct entities. In the end, the MC ended up with the OG Pei Ming, which was an unexpected twist.

This novel broadened my perspective on how stories can conclude, as the plot was refreshingly unpredictable. That's all I have to say for now. Enjoy your reading!
