I initially perceived reading this as a leisure activity, but it soon became an integral part of my daily routine. However, I was met with baffling plot twists that left me disappointed. The main character (MC) transformed into an excessive romantic, catering to his love interest's every whim. While I could tolerate his overly affectionate nature, I couldn't overlook his betrayal of trust and manipulation of relationships for the sake of his infatuation. The storyline became so unbearable that my initial dislike turned into a strong aversion.

To future readers, if you prefer a protagonist who blindly indulges in simpdom and sacrifices everything for a single love interest, this book might be your cup of tea. But for those seeking a more balanced and engaging narrative, I'd advise steering clear.

The conclusion left much to be desired. It's true that he has a knack for causing heartbreak, so if you develop a fondness for either the human queen or the elven queen, be prepared for some difficult emotional moments at the climax of the story.

Despite the novel not receiving a full five-star rating, I am still here to express my gratitude towards both the translator and the story. Despite my initial skepticism due to negative reviews and the potentially misleading title, I decided to give it a chance – curiosity got the better of me. And I must say, the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" holds true. The novel, while not exceptional, is actually decent once you look beyond its superficial flaws.

The plot revolves around two women whose complicated relationship stems from their troubled family dynamics, particularly with their fathers. They unexpectedly cross paths, and as the story unfolds, they discover surprising similarities. The main character acts as a catalyst for their personal growth and issue resolution. The enjoyment lies in witnessing their transformation, which is a slow yet rewarding process.

While the MC remains somewhat enigmatic at this stage, his insightful perspectives hint at an intriguing backstory that I believe the author has in store. I am curious to see how the narrative will evolve in the future. In summary, while it's not a standout read, it offers a satisfying journey for those who can overlook certain aspects and appreciate character development.

"Those who read less than 20 chapters tend to rate it below 3 stars. Therefore, I suggest giving it a chance by reading beyond the initial chapters. Here's a summary without spoilers:

In general, the book is an excellent read, with thought-provoking content rather than mindless action. It can be likened to a detective story incorporating elements of lewdness and a loli. Some key points to note:

    Pros:
    - Protagonist isn't overpowered.
    - Most characters have depth, not one-dimensional.
    - Plot is well-structured with minimal inconsistencies.
    - Purposeful storyline.
    - Filler content is minimal.
    - Translation is of decent quality.

    Cons:
    - Characters could benefit from more development, including showcasing their flaws and growth.
    - Compared to other fantasy novels, the pacing is slower, similar to 'Overlord,' but not necessarily a negative.
    - Some characters are divided into subplots.
    - The message about family importance could be more nuanced; it lacks diverse examples to make it truly exceptional.

Give the book a try, starting with at least 20 chapters. You might find it rewarding."

The protagonist begins as an ordinary individual but ascends to power through cunning strategies, embodying the roles of historical figures like Sima Yi, Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu, or Lu Su from Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The narrative revolves around an intriguing dynamic among the main characters: the protagonist showcases moments of brilliance but lacks physical prowess or political support, while the warrior woman has strength and backing as a noble but is initially naive. The megalomaniac queen, on the other hand, is highly intelligent but also残忍且有征服欲望.

All characters rely on each other for success and survival. Recent chapters reveal not only the protagonist's skill but also their manipulative nature and cold-heartedness, such as deceiving an elfin love interest and orchestrating a conflict to further their goals, which tragically leads to heartbreak and sacrifices. The antagonist(s) are well-developed, with relatable backgrounds and motives, and their plans are clever and complex.

The story does not adhere to a simple "good vs. evil" narrative; instead, it explores the harsh consequences of the protagonist's decisions, causing rifts, injuries, and even mass casualties. Romantic elements serve to propel the plot and provide a balance to the darker themes, avoiding gratuitous violence for shock value. The protagonist's morality is shades of grey, as they convince a heroine to take drastic measures, including sacrificing herself, to uphold her beliefs.

It's not just me, I sense a clear enjoyment from the author in depicting the protagonist being dominated by female characters. The pacing of the story feels sluggish, and certain characters become quite irksome. So far, the main character has been a major letdown. His portrayal in the synopsis portrayed him as all-powerful and mysterious, but in reality, he comes across as weak and unimpressive.

This book is an engaging read. While the author's previous work had its intriguing aspects, it fell short compared to this one, which captivated my interest. The narrative begins with a gritty and somber tone, executed effectively without resorting to excessive violence. Character development and world-building are skillfully woven throughout, though there are moments that may not appeal to everyone, but they don't detract from the overall atmosphere. The tension keeps readers hooked, leaving them eager to uncover the next chapter.

Characters in this novel are well-rounded and realistic, each with distinct motivations driving their actions. They are not mere placeholders, but complex individuals whose actions and reactions are grounded in their backgrounds and personal journeys. The evolution of characters is gradual yet impactful, as their traits adapt based on their surroundings and interactions, adding depth to the story.

The writing style is commendable, showing attention to detail and balance. The author's prose can range from elaborate descriptions to straightforward dialogue, demonstrating versatility. For those considering picking up the book, I highly recommend giving it a try, even if it's just for the first few volumes – it's definitely worth the read.

This narrative isn't particularly compelling. Honestly, the author lacked direction, frequently shifting plotlines abruptly for no logical reason. Initially, it started as a tale of a transmigrated slave and a demon king's daughter surviving in a new world, but then it diverged into building wealth, an unplanned harem, conflict prevention, even forcing suicide plots – all seemingly thrown in haphazardly or abandoned due to convenience or oversight. Time skips appeared without any clear rationale, introducing new protagonists and more unexplained elements, like summoning "heroic spirits."

It appears the author's personal fantasy evolved within the story, centering on their own character, with a loli daughter, multiple romantic interests, and a god-like status. The series "Two Son-Con Moms" (I can't recall the exact title, but that's the essence) shares similar traits, excessive self-indulgence and lack of coherent planning. If you're seeking depth or well-developed characters, this isn't the book for you. It might pass the time if you're not too invested, but it's far from exceptional. I'd rate it 3 out of 5, suggesting the author should perhaps find a more fulfilling creative outlet.

It's incredibly frustrating how the main character behaves like a woman, being overly emotional and cowardly at times. He seems more feminine than masculine, panicking and running away, especially when there's any physical contact with Veirya. This constant display of vulnerability has left me feeling unsatisfied and disappointed throughout the story. I started reading expecting a gentle, heartwarming tale, only to discover it was actually a hidden, intense NTR plot. Now, I'm left with a sour aftertaste, as the damage is done and can't be undone.

To be honest, I'm really enjoying this, and I think I'll continue to do so even after the translation is complete. The main character doesn't have any extraordinary abilities or cheat-like powers compared to other novels. Instead, he's relatable and grounded, which I appreciate. What he does possess, though, is something that can't be bought: determination and resilience.

He's rewarded with a sweet lolita and a devoted wife who's unaware of his feelings. However, it's understandable that he might struggle with the moral implications when faced with intimate situations, like women undressing or his daughter's attraction. It's a realistic portrayal of the challenges that come with such circumstances.

What I like about this novel is the balance of world-building, everyday life elements, character growth, and subtle hints at certain themes. Some people might find the main character's hesitation to act on certain relationships off-putting, but that's part of what makes the story unique and engaging. It's not about the lack of action; it's about the development and consequences of his choices.

Comparing it to other stories, imagine if Kirito from Sword Art Online didn't hesitate with his harem, or if the Infinite Stratos protagonist took advantage of his relationships. The story wouldn't be the same without those character traits. In fact, it would become predictable and boring.

Furthermore, how often do you come across a story with a strong kuudere (aloof) character without the typical dere element? This aspect adds depth to the narrative.

I'd rate it 6 out of 5 and wouldn't mind staying up late for more. Now, regarding the early reviews – it seems unfair that those who read only a few chapters decided the book negatively. Remember, suspension of disbelief is crucial in enjoying a story. So, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey.

The author should take responsibility for the quality of this novel. If you're reading it, I recommend improving your understanding of writing. Believe me, this work is far inferior to Japanese light novels; it doesn't even come close to being engaging. The main character's unhealthy preoccupation with love is a major issue. It seems that Chinese authors often strive to make their protagonists relatable and human-like in their behavior, but they must learn to distinguish between likable characters and intellectually superior beings.

The novel began decently, but towards the end, when the queen's rescue arc was supposed to occur... it completely fell apart. It deviated from the original storyline without any warning or side chapters, focusing abruptly on the queen fawning over the protagonist. I had hoped for some emotional depth with the emotionless main character (FMC) and the uninterested adopted daughter. Frankly, I wouldn't recommend this book. If you enjoy an MC pursuing an unattainable FMC despite a harem tag and a plot that's so convoluted it might make you want to ditch your reading device, then feel free to indulge in this poorly executed story. 😞
