Have you ever yearned to fly away, leaving behind your ordinary life and sorrowful past?

Imagine a girl who flutters freely, embraced by nature. She understands the languages of animals and plants, and with a gust of wind, she sweeps away her insecurities. She has always sought a nest, but the void of not having a place to return to is filled with a sense of freedom.

It's remarkable how a one-shot manhwa that placed third in an amateur contest can be more insightful than some highly acclaimed manga spanning thousands of pages. This claim might seem unfounded if prejudice clouds the initial impression of simplicity conveyed by the drawings and youthful features. However, it is precisely this childlike quality that lends the work its profundity.

Lewis Carroll’s Alice is often viewed as a childish tale—largely due to Disney's adaptation. Yet, it serves as a wellspring of inspiration for numerous artists, from poets to CLAMP, as it transforms apparent nonsense into extreme creativity and even political undertones. A similar observation applies here to some extent.

The artwork cannot be described as exceptional. It reflects the straightforward style typical of a beginner's piece, yet it aligns perfectly with the story's initially gentle tone: intricate art would clash with this narrative's intent. You may feel transported to those moments when you read or heard stories from your parents—tales you knew were fictional but enjoyed nonetheless. And within this seemingly inconsequential nature, there are elements to ponder.

The central human character is a girl navigating her place in a vast landscape. Though other characters may not be human in form, they possess human hearts: a bird safeguarding its offspring and future, and a tree grieving the loss of its companion over time, now solitary in the cold winter, accompany this girl in her boundless world.

Despite these deceptive simplicities, complexity intrudes upon this unassuming narrative like the wind carrying the girl away as the story nears its end. This is not a tale that will take long to read, but it will require much reflection.

A brief tale, my inaugural one. This was truly excellent overall! There's profound significance in each encounter, and I genuinely empathized with the character by the end. I wholeheartedly recommend setting aside a few minutes to read it. It offers a little perspective on various individuals.
Overall, I'm genuinely glad I read this :)
