I must admit, I was genuinely intrigued by the direction of the story up until Chapter 7. However, when the Sword Saint's inability to recognize and recruit a talented young prodigy for training was revealed, it seemed like a major letdown. It's no wonder his fate was different in the previous timeline – he came across as incredibly oblivious. Additionally, Stella's comments and the flow of the conversation felt forced and unnatural.

If this is the author's writing style, I'm afraid my expectations for an engaging plot have significantly diminished. I might give it another one or two chapters on the off chance it improves, but I doubt I'll see the story through to the end. At least the translators are doing a decent job, though.

You see, this book embodies the classic tale where love prevails and unwavering friendship propels one to triumph over any challenge. Despite its somewhat clichéd premise, the author executes it skillfully, keeping in mind the importance of a concise narrative. For me, it serves as the ideal mental break - free from political intrigue and complex plots. The world-building may be minimalistic, but that's intentional, as the focus lies in a fairy tale-like story with a heartwarming guarantee of a happily-ever-after. The world's backstory is intentionally left模糊 or under-explained, which actually adds to its enchanting charm. If you're longing for a magical escape, this book is perfect – whether you need a post-work unwind session or a breather after a hectic college day.

The protagonist holds his childhood friend in such high regard that he's willing to defy fate and prevent her from becoming a hero. Wow, no need for a further evaluation – my interest has been piqued just by that line. I'm not particularly concerned about whether the author will follow through with this plot twist and demonstrate the consequences, like sparing the MC's friend at the expense of everyone else in their village, except for her. However, based on the content I've read so far, the writing strikes me as rather immature.
