Read it for 10 hours straight, right after passing 100 chapter the story character everything just started deteriorating. The mc started acting like a harem protagonist while girls taking advantage of his powers. Story just stopped progressing, just slowed down significantly. (If you are looking for a non harem and stoic mc with little to no romance your mind will repeat the slogan below)
All and all MY Day is ruined and disappointment is immeasurable.
The story was really good. But then the MC went FULL harem mode. I don't know why the author did this. He even made the MC feel bad for cheating on his girlfriend. but then he continued to cheat on her with other girls.
For some reason the 'american' girls became okay with it. Well, i am dropping this at this point. Read till chapter 450 i think. This review is for anyone who thinks this is not a harem. It is. It is a harem.
Overall thebquality of the translation is ok, the world's background is interesting, there are some dialogues with some prejudices and "racist" remarks but anyone with *****'s reasoning would understand it on the context they were made, and the MC is a little more low key and mindful although when he needs to draw blood, he's cold, ruthless and even vicious. The novel has one great flaw and it's the lack if regularity in the chapters releases. So far is you don't like realistic-ish MC with a relativistic morality then my suggestion is to stay away from this novel. If you like carefree path if dreams, evil magus in another world, reverend insanity and so the you may like to read this novel...
Easily one of the better cultivation novels on here. An interesting thing about the novel is that it tries to break some of the tropes and conventions that are standard in this genre by literally having the MC travel to a different country to avoid cliche arrogant young masters. Even moreso, when the MC eventually encounters a traditional cultivation sect he remarks at how backwards and inefficient it is. Its a bit refreshing to see a story try something new.
After a while though the tone changes drastically and while it isn't a bad change, it's actually quite suited to the setting, it does lack a bit of the oomph of the first arc.
That being said, the characters are done badly. For all the research on the U.S. culture/political system that the author actually seems to be mostly accurate in, the behavior and lexicon of the American characters is really...Chinese. Other characters are one dimensional and there are also the standard characters who might be interesting for a few chapters only to be forgotten about quickly.
Overall, it's definitely worth a read for daring to break convention though it's not the end all be all of cultivation novels.
Story should be tagged as a Slice of Life and nothing else. Any parts that involve cultivation or fantasy all feel forced. Author would rather talk about the nice places they go to eat.
The update stability is also garbage. Stay away until they figure their sh*t out.

Also the update stability seems to be a lie? Has been 3 days since the last chapter was released. 13/week how?
