This cultivation novel is very fantastic, the story's about a cruel, cold, and clever evil mc, who's very talented in multiple directions. It has great character and story development. He starts of weak and pathetic, but he has the seed of potential as a great villain. With his grandfather being his only family, his heart grows cold and wicked, filled with desire for power. His character turning evil and cruel, described as cunning as a fox yet bold like a tiger. He would do anything for power, for himself as long as he can benefit from it, he would be as benevolent as a saint or as wicked as a devil, whichever path would benefit him more. And yes, if you've read reverend insanity, then this novel is heavily inspired from ri, following the same flow of events at the start ( very nostalgic ) but leads of to it's own path later. All I can say is that if you loved Reverend Insanity ( Master of Gu ) then you'll love this aswell. It leans more on the cruel side of a demonic cultivator, who's a hungry ghost for benefits that leads to power. It's very much gore. So for those like me who like evil MCs then Bai Ming would be above your expectations. He treats all cruelly, yet equally fair. A bonus with this novel is it also has no romance or harem (MC only). Overall, I love it a lot, deserves as much love as RI.
Omg where was this book, i have been searching for a book like this, The pace is fast with very minute filler, dailly update's, good grammer, hard working and creative author, evil mc with no moral's. One of the best evil mc books i have read better then 99% of stuff here and I am not exaggerating.
The beginning of the novel is not pleasant, the mc is immature and sentimental. So why did I give it 5 stars? Because the development is amazing, the writing quality improves, and the MC learns to be pragmatic, and let go of emotions, if it is beneficial he would kill the whole world without hesitation
Story quality in the beginning is a bit iffy. It also feels lacking in direction, but it improves a lot later.
Evil heartless MC, dark elements, some elements are especially morbid but not needlessly.
As for the 5 stars, well I personally liked the quality and vibes it gives towards the end of volume 1. Of course some things could have been done better but whatever.
Might not be for everyone but you never know, so give it a try.
Writing quality: it is good and we have an evil MC the only bad thing is that when the MC was introduced him being evil felt forced but after that everything was good
Updating Stability: there is a chapter everyday
Story development: it feels natural and it is not predictable
Character design: the side characters feel a little shallow but there are less than 30 chapters so I will give it a pass
World background: the world not been somewhat explained that much but there are less than 30 chapters and when you take that into account the world background is good
