Faceslapping is an art, which this author isn’t too skill at.  A proper faces lap Requires a setup.  First the MC has to provoke criticism.   The critism has to have cetwin validity and has some actual negative effect on the mc.  Then the mc has to show that the critism is wrong.

Unfortunsteely, this MC shows that the crprism about him is correct.  Just that he kills all his critice in sneak attacks.

I think the author got his martial artist idea from Swallowed Star, as I am getting the same vibe from this novel, but on entirely different level.

The author struggles to make something original so he sticks to the same process of mc gets bullied > mc gets powerup > mc kills the bully > bully's  relatives avenges the bullies > mc kills the bully's relatives > repeat. It's fun for the first few cycles, but it gets bland as it goes. Although the novel follows the same progression of "doing something new for a change," it's actually basically just a coverup of the fact that the author is incapable of further developing something thus scrapping it and making a new one, on the premise that the story is "developing" when clearly, it's just making a new slate to follow the same cycle, of which only the names of people, places and realms changed.
