Contrary to the synopsis, whats's within this novel is more than just a cooking story. Sekai-Ryouri is a work that has many layers, and transcends genres.

It has the competitiveness of a sports series, the twists and turns of a drama, enough gags to be humorous, tugs at the heartstrings like a romance, and can even be very heart-pumping like a suspenseful work. And though as of today and this writing, all of that may not be present, it will be in the grand scheme of things.

It is not perfect. I don't think that any work is. But if all of the above - or any of the above - interest you, I highly advise you to take a look inside of the world of Sekai-Ryouri.

Hopefully you'll come to like it as much as I do.

This is a really great start! Cooking-based stories are really hard to come by and it's refreshing to see this genre used again. My mom is a chef so I grew up cooking and stories like these are really fun to read especially if they involve real recipes and techniques. Also, the interactions the MC has with Rena are hilarious and I'm always a fan of the simple and blunt main character who is actually really skilled at what he does. This was just really fun to read and writing is really good. Also, the dialogue is incredibly natural and it helps a lot with the immersion. Really great! Looking forward to more!

I want to vote already, this is seriously what I needed to read: A light hearted romance with well-written characters and a interesting setting!

The first two chapters show the beginning of what (I think) will be an epic rivals-to-lovers story! Rena and Roma have very strong personalities and flaws, but that's what makes then such a good duo! And as I was reading I couldn't help but think it would be such a good anime series lol

Please keep writing author, you're doing a really good job!

I'll admit, this is a very different type of web novel that asks you to focus much less on the plot and more on the characters. Doing that, for me, creates a much stronger ability to enjoy the series. There's already a foundation established for what we can expect for the end of the series and a very rough idea of how that's going to happen. How well this story turns out depends on the characters, which I do like so far.

I look forward to reading more chapters from the author. It's a very kick back and read it type of series that doesn't ask too, too much from you.

The dish description could more detail, admittedly however. If that can be fixed, I'll enjoy this series a lot more than I currently do.

    I love everything about this.

Enthralling protagonist? Check. (love Rena & Roma)

Excellent writing quality? Check. (I'm actually taking notes)

Amazing plot and setup? Check. (I love Shokugeki no Soma and if you liked it, you should definitely give this book a try!)

    Eagerness to read more? CHECK.

I just want you to mass release at this point, it definitely has the feels (and somewhat the structure) of a Light Novel and the inspiration shows.

Honestly, if I could vote right now, I'd have given you my Power Stones. Definitely adding this to my library!

While it's not my usual cup of tea, I liked the characters and the set up. I liked the world-building as well.

In particular I liked the ML's and FL's interaction. While slightly clichéd, it's a good cliché. I approve.

Now just waiting on the author for more chapters.
