What ruins this story for me is that it puts itself in the setting of Perfect World, an already established novel. It's as if the author felt too lazy to make a world of their own.
What is especially disappointing is that the synopsis doesn't even mention a bit of this, but is intentionally misleading. The story doesn't even feel like it will abide by the original novels plot, more like the author just took the names of the characters from Perfect World and bastardized it.
The leaves are part of the plant's respiration process, they fall off and decay quickly. Did anyone else think this plot escalated too fast? Looks like someone took forty pages and boiled it down to four.
