It started out to be a story with good potential. The MC is going through the "weak to strong" route and there were lots of fights worth reading. The translation is okay as well.

However, the issue lies with the story itself, by how it was written by the author. By the time it hit the arc where he was teleported elsewhere (not sure, about Ch200+ maybe (Volume 5) I realized that the wash, rinse, repeat in this story is so heavy and the "praise be the MC" reaction chapters so sickening that the plot had hardly advanced. Everything is about the crowd's reaction and disgust-turned-shame-and-respect. The side characters have flat personalities. There's a limit to how much an author can milk a story to stretch out the word count, and me? I've long reached my limit with this story.

Sorry to say this, but after reaching till here, I felt like reading this story made me dumber. There's no advancement in the writing style even after so many chapters. My head is literally aching right now.

I gave the story several chances to redeem itself. But sadly, I can no longer tolerate it. I have to drop this novel, not because of the translation quality but because of the author's writing itself. Ah, such regret because I do think that the mystery of the Painting is interesting and I'm leaving it when it's still unsolved.

MC IS BEYOND STUPID. You will get very mad reading this at times. You will ask yourself "Author, why?" as you try to read this b.s.

i started to regret reading this novel..its fun from the start "building a 9 story padogy only to destroy halfway" what a fucking heartless MC..how many girls the author need to break until hes satified whith his ego?lol... u can just type "im gay,NO girls for me"... you dont need to explain how he mince a girls hurt to pieces..NO shet man..... its getting boring...

D*mn i don know the fault lies in author or translator. But its very confusing. Between first realm and eight realm which one is stronger or qhich path need to take? In there some of it first realm are strongest but that ling xian eight realm are stronger than seven realm. Its straight confusing cause the translator not even try help differentiate the cultivation path and the stage. Its actually cause the "unkown" path and stage that makes this novel poor and again the translator not even attemt to help

It's disappointing that the author is stretching the story with useless lines inbetween. A novel should be interesting when story is told in a flow, but in every chapter I can see that author is adding lines just to lengthen the chapters. It's not fun reading like this. Might quit reading if this continues likes this.

Honestly I don't know why I'm still reading this novel. It's frustrating. It's definitely a generic novel that you can find anywhere. A handsome MC that has no talent but manages to turn that around with heaven defying luck. What's frustrating is the MC's attitude towards others. He's always being so generous and giving favors away to people that he barely knows or has absolutely no connection to. Seriously, this idiot gets into fights with powerful enemies all because he can't leave these shameless morons alone? He forces himself into a lot of situations where the conflict could easily be avoided if he just ignored it. And why does he keep blushing when it comes to girls? He's able to slaughter left and right but when it comes to a little teasing he turns into a shy boy? Bah! Whether it's beautiful girls that are in trouble or shameless geezers and young masters trying to curry favor with him, I wish the MC would just grow a pair of... err a backbone... yeah, a backbone, and turn everyone away so he can focus on his cultivation and goals rather than getting sidetracked.

The most annoying mc I have ever seen. It was all fine at beginning when you come across his heaven defying talent but I think the choices he makes are really bad even after he had a century worth of life experience. This annoys me to no end.

Enjoyable story so far. I like the mc and how confident he is. It's very satisfying to read about the battles he's engaged in.  I am excited to see what happens next.
