Novels with too fast a pace, no harem, and a loyal couple can become monotonous if they focus solely on battle after battle. It gets boring.
If we consider the timeline, this novel features the quickest power upgrade from mortal to an extraordinary being in less than two years. Among all the novels I've read, this is the fastest progression ever.
Another significant flaw is the unrealistic portrayal of technology. Despite the widespread chaos and disasters, electricity and the internet inexplicably continue to function. The author explains that the world's downfall was triggered by the discovery of a spaceship on the moon, which they tampered with, leading to an apocalypse. However, this explanation feels contrived and poorly integrated into the narrative.
The intelligence of the characters in this novel is generally subpar, especially for supposed survivors. The limitations placed on the main character’s primary power do little to enhance the story. Early on, he acquires a werewolf zombie, but it dies due to his impulsive actions to save women. He then obtains a bearman zombie, which meets a similar fate.
This novel is a hard pass. Even if it weren’t a dual-world story, it might still struggle, but the dual-world aspect only compounds the issues without adding substantial value to the plot.
I wonder will there be any epilogues.
