Okay, I'm going to be completely honest here. I'm not much of a reviewer but I'll give it a try. The title attracted me here but I was skeptical after I saw the genre.I mean yeah it had the name of one of my favorite protagonists in Its title but I thought, should I read a novel like this just because it had the name, Ragnar? Then I gave the first chapter a try with the aim of leaving it once it wasn't to my taste but I was shell-shocked by the unexpected familiarity with the Vikings movie.I had to check once again to confirm if I wasn't reading fanfic but still the author was able to develop a wonderful novel that just shows how much he loves and knows about the world of Vikings.Writing quality is top much with no grammatical errors so far as I have read which is sadly 40+ when compared to the current 89 chapters it has.I've been glued to my seat ever since I started.Update stability is pretty good as it is consistent.Character development is just wonderful as we follow the growth of both Tyr and Bjorn. The novel is just spectacular as I it makes it easier for me to visualize a lot of the characters in the novel, enabling the world background to flow easily to the story. Love how you were able to give so many characters enough screen time in the novel.Even lagertha also ππ
I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS NOVEL!The writing quality is great. It doesnβt make you feel bored but draw you in more. For the update release, itβs pretty stable with 14 chaps per week.Story development is superb. The pace is not too slow nor too fast, just okay for the readers to digest everything that is written.I love how Tang Wulin is different from those arrogant, cold-that-turns-gentle-with-a-girl, super OP mc of other novels. Heβs unlike those mc who are lucky to pick some godly item then trudged their way to the top without real efforts. Heβs just chill you know. He has that golden dragon king thing but he still need to unleash some efforts to get the βpower-upsβ. World Background is superb. Explained thoroughly. It makes you feel that youβre there in that worldβ

The first parts are very, very (emphasises on 'very') similar. But after reading more, I found that there were some very interesting additions. For example (Spoiler Alert!):There are 'beta players' and the MC isn't one, just a cheater, probably. In the world rankings, the second ranker has a talent and a divination orb like the one in 'Global Descent'. It didn't go into too much detail about the girl, but you get the gist. There are spiritual weapons and bodies. So far, the MC is only encountering level 0 weapons, I think. Also, you have to unlock a spiritual body and have a full 'spiritual-something-power' to unleash the beas-cough, full power of the spiritual weapon!Final Note:Recently there has been a lot of similar novels appearing, such as:Digging to Survive, Global Descent, Ocean Survival and Surviving Underground etc etc. But, I don't really see why this (not quite badly written) novel is only getting 2.something stars, and that's why I'm giving a 5 to help boost this novel.
Myriad of info dumps, literally the few early chapters are all info dumps for no reason nor logical flow to it.There are a lot of incosistency in term of the story flow or the lack there of, overall below average read.
