    The story is really well written. I like the way the fantasy world is built. The action is also really well imagined. I also enjoyed the comedy and the parody references in chapter 3.  Overall has a good story base and hook to get readers interested.

    Ok, I have to say, I’m really enjoying this story so far! Taryn is such a strong lead, but what I love most is how real she feels—like she’s tough, but you can tell she’s got layers and struggles she’s working through. And Lucien… whew. That guy is equal parts infuriating and charming. Their dynamic is so fun to read because you never know if they’re going to argue or actually start trusting each other (maybe both?).The cursed chain thing is such a cool idea—it’s constantly throwing them into situations where they can’t avoid each other, which keeps the tension high. The world-building is solid, too. I love how the danger feels real, but the story still makes time for little character moments that make you care about what happens next.If you’re into stories with strong leads, reluctant partnerships, and a slow-burn kind of tension, I’d definitely recommend this. Can’t wait to see what happens next! There is smut too if you stick with it. Slow burn and all. lol
