I'm scared of reading this as i have tried one of his other novels and the romance was awful but everything else was great is the romance decent in this? If not I'll pass
great story line but hard to follow because of the incorrect sentence structure and words, misspelled words and incomplete thoughts. I keep reading hoping it will get better but not yet, shame it would be a great story.
I'm not sure how detailed I should get with this review, and I realize it might upset some yaoi fans. But keep in mind, I am a yaoi fan too. Also, bear in mind that this is merely MY OPINION, and I am entitled to it. If you don't agree with this review, please don't reach out to me; just hit "not helpful."
Honestly, I had numerous issues with this manga for various reasons. First off, the length was problematic. While most yaoi mangas are usually 1-2 volumes long, this one should have been stretched across 3-4 volumes or more. Everything was crammed into a single volume, which made the storyline incredibly rushed and left a lot of confusion. Had I not read the synopsis beforehand, I genuinely wouldn't have understood what was happening.
The character development was equally lacking. I've read plenty of yaoi, but this is the first time I've encountered such poor handling of characters. It felt like everything happened in a whirlwind, especially regarding the relationships between the characters. Izumi, Segawa, and Sawatari were tossed together haphazardly, leaving readers without much depth or understanding of who they really were. The only exception was Izumi, where we got a brief glimpse into his personality, but otherwise, the characters felt shallow.
Initially, I didn't mind this manga; in fact, I enjoyed it at the start. However, as it progressed, it began to feel like I was going in circles rather than engaging with the story. It became so chaotic that by the end, I was utterly bewildered. I sat at my computer thinking, "HUH?!" I've never been more let down by a yaoi manga than I am with this one. This is the first time I've felt so dissatisfied with a yaoi story.
