I Became the Villain’s Own Daughter

I am currently reading MTL. Honestly, this story is quite amusing, but the part I'm on started to feel a bit irritating and cringe-worthy. The young girl is intelligent, but her naivety and lack of worldly knowledge are a double-edged sword – it's endearing yet frustrating, especially when she cries frequently. It serves as a decent time filler when you're bored, but recently, the introduction of the mother and the plot twist with Ruan Ye swapping souls with Ye Rourou made it lose its appeal for me. I prefer the focus solely on Lu Junhan and his love interest, Luli. Despite my reservations, I still recommend giving it a read if you're looking for a light-hearted, marathon-worthy story. After all, I devoured this book in five days straight, barely managing eight hours of sleep each night.

In summary, the heartwarming tale of Lili and her doting father, Junhan, was delightful with their adorable interactions. However, there were aspects that significantly detracted from the overall experience for me. Lili's continued innocence and naivete, which was charming at her young age, became frustratingly childish as she grew up and had children. It took away from the believability of the story. Additionally, the lengthy and repetitive nature of the internet comments during the reality show segment grated on my patience, as they occasionally dominated entire chapters – it was quite annoying. Despite its potential, something fell flat, and I can only give it a rating of 2 out of 5 stars, mainly because I did find amusement in the heartfelt essay Lili wrote about her father.

Alright, the novel has a sweet and lighthearted charm. I appreciate how each supporting character gets their fair share of attention, making it a balanced story beyond just the main character (MC) and her family dynamics. For that reason, I'd rate it 4 stars.

However, my final rating is 3 stars due to instances where the MC and other characters come across as overly simplistic. While I understand her young age, as a caregiver or elder, someone should guide her better. The constant miscommunications stem from the older characters assuming without seeking clarification. Initially, it was tolerable, but repetitive behavior started to grate on my nerves. I wished for at least one elder with the wisdom to help clear things up and prevent the MC from remaining innocent and unaware.

I'm not sure why this novel received a low rating, but honestly, it's an incredibly hilarious and delightful read. Unlike the usual portrayal of a doting dad and a cute, well-behaved daughter, Lu Junhan is a stern yet captivating villain. He doesn't hesitate to scold, discipline, or even physically correct his daughter, Lu Li. But if you were in his shoes, you'd find yourself struggling to handle her too, because Lu Li is a vivacious little girl who can switch from tears to laughter in seconds. Their unique bond is hard to put into words, but I absolutely adore it – I almost wish her mother didn't exist!

1. At a kindergarten parent-teacher meeting, Lu Li had three best friends whose fathers were successful CEOs. When asked to write about their dads, all three girls wrote about Lu Li instead. The fathers were frustrated and envious of Lu Junhan, as his daughter idolized him so much. Unbeknownst to them, Lu Li had written about a dream where her father was dead and turned into a dog, which made her cry. When Lu Junhan read the story, he initially thought it was touching but then got upset and gave her a gentle scolding.

2. In a hilarious turn of events, Lu Li accidentally consumed wine-infused chocolate and got tipsy. She went on a wild search for her "head," mistaking a small watermelon for it and a larger one for her father's. She accidentally damaged the "father's head" and looked heartbroken, staring at it for a while. Everyone pitied her, assuming she was upset about losing her father's image. Then, she nonchalantly wondered aloud, "Can I eat it?" The whole night, she clung to her "head" and disrupted Lu Junhan until late, prompting him to jokingly text his aunt for an orphanage recommendation.

I much prefer the dynamic between Lu Junhan and Lu Li as father and daughter, rather than the stereotypical genius child and overly doting parent. It's a genuine, comical bond that brings a lot of laughter and charm to the story.

I absolutely adore this novel; I've devoured up to the most recent machine translation chapter and I'm eagerly anticipating more. It's an immensely entertaining, heartwarming, and lighthearted read. I adore all the characters, especially Lu Li's family and friends. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a delightful and engaging real-life story.

Ngl, the Novel is great like really good. The only problem is that, the Author made it a joke with the comedy, like here is some example :-
The MC beat the sh*t out of a trash female character brutally by using his shadow power secret chamber
The brother of that female character which also hates her asks " Did you make my sister lose her virginity?
And then it's revealed that the female character is a weirdo who has a thing to be beaten to the pulp ( that's why the brother made assumption)
