Really don’t understand how this could have become 3rd on weekly ranking - really poorly written, some of the most gaping plot holes I have witnessed not to mention the thick layers of plot armour. Many of the situations seem to have been made up on a whim of the author and going from 0 to 100 as he seems to get bored of sticking to one subject.They do say copying is the best form of flattery but some of this is just down right plagiarism from various stories - he randomly started throwing in hunter x hunter terms etc. for a couple of chapters then seems to totally forget about it. Overall, largely disappointing.
Spoiler.By chapter 224 he already f...ed like eight or nine women... and another one being tagged.. there's still about 100 chapters left.. honestly this gigolo, womanizer MC destroys the novel, he teases women and f..cs them more and more often. He is a hypocrite as well when it comes to murder and stuff, sigh. The pacing is also all over the place. Almost half of the novel is some politics with martial arts then we had this artifical/virtual realm where young elites from all over the world were teleported to, which would be ok if it was only this, but now, suddenly some magic, powerful heaven breaking techniques that some xianxia don't have, formations, devils (?), immortality, changing face, changing gender, changing bodies..!!! MC battling thousands of martial artists/soldiers with his pew pew godly fire blast!! And that WTH plot twist with MC's father. This novel ridiculousness spiraled out of hand much faster and with a much bigger bang than Human Emperor. MC has a cheat that can teleport him between places and stay undetected, he's already kind of god that can assasasinate someone or make him a criminal by putting proof in his mansion or something. The martial artist association in empire or the shadow guard became pretty irrelevant and forgotten. Better to read The Human Emperor or Black iron's Glory. They're not perfect but i liked them much more than this My Wife.

While the idea behind the story is good, it pains me to say that the poor writing quality makes it unenjoyable. There are too many dialogues, but we have no idea about how the character feels, what they were doing, or what's the situation surrounding them. It lacks proper explanation. This work might be more appropriate as a theater script.Also, as I've mentioned in many of my reviews, proper punctuation is important. Thats what makes a sentence can be easily comprehended. If the author makes no visible improvement in the future, I'm afraid I can't go on reading this. Sorry.
Ok so I’ve been caught up on 2 other of authors books and honestly this is my favorite one. You’ve progressed do much as a writer and the characters feel way more real here rather than wish fulfillment fillers. If everyone can match the main wife and be developed this could be very popular. Take this as more as a slice of life with a deeper main plot.
This is my unbiased view and is probably really pessimistic as my cynical cold hearted bastard side that is not tied down with useless things such as love will review it but here goes.The first few chapters will probably be just readable as the wording is awkward and doesn’t flow this is it is the authors first time writing and hadn’t gotten a natural style it improves as it goes along.Stability of updates is questionable in the authors defense he does value real life over writing since I’m not getting paid but that’s besides the point it may take awhile but unless clearly stated chapters will come.World building is what the author likes to think as learning with the view point. it’s vague but slowly grows as the protagonist excperiences things.Story development is a journey there is a main “goal” So to speak but it is generally over shadow by immediate concerns and desires that lead to said goal. Character development is hit and miss since this is the authors first published novel.Character design is in the wind so to speak whilst the author tries his best and thinks he gets his idea of the character across the truth is he struggles with the proper wording for the human anatomy especially faces.And that concludes my un biased thoughts on this brain child whilst I may be blinded by love for this pice of work I am not arrogant enough to claim it has no faults so please read and enjoy my novel and if you do see faults point them out as I will strive to Improve.
