By far the best novel of the last few cycles.

Synopsis sounds generic, but the execution is very well done. Other then eternal life (lifespan, can still die) he has no other cheats. Therefore he has to use his wits (the author uses his wits) to actually win out.

Please pick it, this is one of the best synopses(idk if thats a word) that i have ever read.

I’ve been seeing a couple of reviews bashing the mc for being to cautious or not having the demeanor of an immortal cultivation and my reply to that is people like that won’ last a second in the cultivation world where a father can kill his child for talent or a mother can sell her child for benefits and keep in mind the mc has the biggest benefit that any cultivator chases that is eternal life, so yes he will hide and take his time, yes he won’t have the demeanor of an immortal cultivator and yes he is for sure not going to get himself killed and refined into a pill just so he can prove he is a big boy that everyone needs to respect and eternal life makes you a hermit by default because all those you care about will die and live you alone so excuse the mc for just chilling in the prison.

Now for the proper review: the story is actua quite interesting and has an mc with a good head on his shoulder as well as a not so outrageous cheat which makes it all the more fun to read but the only problem I have with the story is the translation some words I have no idea what them mean because they are in Chinese and I just have to brush past it but I’ some chapters the translator provides the meaning at the end so that good…..well that’s the end of my review. Apologies if it is to amateur

kind of cool since I love cultivator genres. overall, the novel is good. a good read, and quiet entertaining. highly recommended to anyone who loves these kinds of novels.

This novel is actually good and different from your typical sign in novel. The mc cheat doesn't really have any utility,it only gives him eternal life. No super cultivation body or technique. He can even die from diseases.
Most of the time the mc just acts like a bystander who witnesses the passing of time .

Indeed the best novel in this cycle, there are a few places with weird wording, but overall it is readable.
At the moment it looks like a slice of life of an immortal, which is observing, learning, becoming stronger with everything at hand, seems pretty reasonable as it is simply not required to take risks, did not look at mtl, but we can expects MC to be forced to act
