I, A Shut-in, Was Proposed to by a Tyrant

I cannot recommend this to anyone due to the numerous plot holes and an overabundance of Deus ex machina moments that mar the beginning. If you decide to give it a try, I suggest starting from chapter 6 to avoid the frustrating plot points that significantly disrupt the narrative, at least for my experience.

The story begins predictably with an annoying ghost grandparent who behaves unjustly, making the protagonist feel guilty for simply existing. This character creates numerous inconsistencies early on that led me to consider stopping:

1. You must bond with me, or you'll die, you lazy, disrespectful person.
2. As my chosen vessel, you must inhabit a different body if you refuse to bond – now's your chance to ogle handsome men, ha!
3. Despite being about to be executed by someone who clearly despises her, the plot suddenly shifts in one paragraph when the MC calls the ghost she hates, leading to an unexpected marriage proposal.
4. The forced romantic development continues as if the attempted execution never happened, which becomes harder to believe if you skip the initial six chapters and imagine your own opening.

In summary, there are significant issues with the plot that detract from the overall enjoyment, especially in the early chapters.

The narrative is incredibly unengaging with a rapid pace. Although the initial concept is promising, it lacks depth in its execution. Numerous plot inconsistencies and insufficient explanations mar the story. The main character's (ML) behavior initially raises concerns but then takes an unexpected turn. The female lead (FL) exhibits a frustrating combination of complaining and overpowered traits, akin to a typical "unwilling protagonist" found in amateur webnovels. There's a lack of world-building compared to more polished works.
