I sat behind the couch, scrunched in a fetal position, hiding from the sliver of sun which managed to squeeze its way out from behind the drapes. My tormentor. Once a beloved friend, now it holds me captive behind this couch with nothing to keep me company but some cobwebs and fuzzy dust-bunnies. My newly improved eyes spotted a small, dark colored circular disk amongst the shag carpet. Slowly I eased my way over to it. Score! It's a brown M&M. Popping the tiny sweet treat into my mouth, I carefully chewed...trying not to puncture my lips with my freshly acquired fangs. I smiled. Today is looking up.

    This is a slice of life, short story, about two people who are drawn together while trying to separate familial responsibilities from their personal desires. Truthfully, I am not the target audience for this book. I felt Noah, the mc, was immature. At times, he seemed like a high schooler because of his indecisiveness and the limited variety of his speech in his peer conversations. Hearing him tell people to "shut up," whether joking or frustrated, was overused. Also, the resolution felt rushed. Everything was wrapped up without loose ends, but some explanation about Noah's and Elias' parents' decisions would have been helpful to the story plot.Is it a good read? Yes. Was it entertaining? Well, I read it until the end. It has the feel of a BL Podcast on YouTube. It's a quick and sweet story.

    Loving this book - eight hot girls trained in seduction and martial arts, FL, Delphi, is a sexy, bad-aXX leader, doing the #enemiestolovers dance with ML Alton Meyer. She pretends (keeping us guessing author???) to be submXXssive to keep him panting. He plans to infiltrate the Guerilla Girls with his guards - a reverse honey trap - what could go wrong? The girls are getting everything they want from the boys, and the boys are pretty happy with that arrangement... Can't wait to see how this plays out and the girls' revenge against the dirty old Emperor. Keep up the good work author!Smut starts at chapter 15 for those who use the dark arts [fast forward ;)].
