"Face-Slapping System" is a captivating read that immerses the reader in a thought-provoking world. The protagonist's journey as they navigate a unique societal norm, where physical discipline is a means of character development, keeps me hooked from start to finish. The blend of dystopian themes with unexpected twists makes for a compelling narrative. While exploring power dynamics and emotional growth, the author skillfully delves into the complexities of human relationships. Overall, it's a gripping tale that challenges societal norms while leaving me eager for more.

It’s face slapping novel. Seemingly designed to be painfully generic, it does encompasses all the worst parts of the genre. The MC is an insecure brat going on a powertrip, he has a system which gives him everything, and everyone is an autistic narcissist because that’s the only people our MC can “face slap”.

If you enjoy the genre then it might tide you over, but it does nothing particularly well and the glacial pace only makes it more difficult to get through (30 shopping chapters in a row).

The whole plot was just full of unnatural and unrealistic events that completely ruined the immersion for me. The author just kept on forcing situations and writing bad characters with no motive other than to be cannon fodder for MC to face slap. It's essentially just a very surface level wish fulfillment novel which some people may enjoy so try it if that's your thing but I'd say otherwise you might be better off looking for something else.

"Face-Slapping System" is a thought-provoking and satirical novel that delves into the intricacies of societal norms, power dynamics, and the consequences of conformity. Set in a dystopian world where a high-tech device enforces discipline through public physical punishment, the story challenges readers to question the boundaries of freedom, morality, and the price we pay for maintaining order.

The novel explores the psychological impact of such a system, as characters grapple with the loss of personal agency and the erosion of empathy within society. The protagonist's journey serves as a mirror, reflecting our own capacity for both obedience and rebellion in the face of oppressive authority. The author masterfully uses humor and irony to expose the absurdity of the system, while simultaneously highlighting the darker aspects of human nature that can be manipulated by fear and control.

"Face-Slapping System" prompts us to consider the delicate balance between discipline and individual rights, and how easily societies can veer towards totalitarianism if unchecked. It encourages critical thinking about the role of technology in shaping our behavior and the importance of empathy in fostering a more compassionate society. Overall, this novel is a compelling read that leaves readers pondering the nature of justice, power, and the human condition.
