The main character being a doctor is already not new here in webnovel. With all of the novels that I have read with the same premise, I must say Ling Ran had pulled me in. Though it is worth noting that, it is the first time I have read a story where the MC is a doctor with a system. The fact that it has a system made me a little worried about this novel, since a lot of MCs with a system is just kind of TOO OP. But I was glad when I read through and finally saw the system in action, its not TOO OP.Ling Ran's system is OP don't get me wrong. Having knowledge injected in your brain and having experience of performing a surture imprinted in your muscles aren't exactly NOT OP. Since those things take time and effort to do, but with the system he can learn those instantly. But in the end, that is the only thing it does. It only gives him knowledge and experience. It doesn't make decisions for him. It gave him skills in order to accomplish his duty as a doctor but it doesn't interfere with how he will decide to use those skills. He can still very well mess up in what surture to use on patients or what thread to use. He still has control and I like that.Next is the MC himself. Ling Ran being the main character drew me in. I like how he is portrayed in the story. He is serious with his medical career but he can still also indulge himself in playing mobile games on his phone or even obsess with transformers. I also like how he reacted when he first got the system. He just feels real and fun to me. Lastly are the characters around him. I must say that some characters are too generic but I guess in all novels you can't really get characters that are fully unique. There is one character that I love though and she is Jinling. She is the sister of a patient that Ling Ran treated. I have to say that she matches Ling Ran's eccentricness perfectly. You know what she gave him as a gift? Patients. YUP. Think about it. If you like the things I have mentioned above, then try reading this novel. It's a fun read and the updates are pretty stable.
I only read this story because it is recommended by my friend. She said it's good. But for me, I don't exactly like it. I don't dislike it though. It's just that I've already read a lot of books with similar genre to this. That's why I don't find this to my liking anymore.
This story is amazing so far but new chapters come out too slow to keep the interest of some of those who get to the newest chapters and are waiting for new ones to come out. While I understand that is important to take your time writing to make sure that new chapters are of good quality, the fast release of new chapters is also really important even if you have to shorten the chapter to achieve this. More but smaller chapters of the same quality will help you keep the attention of those readers that are less patient or invested in the story because they will notice a notification for a new chapter more often and keep it at the top of their library each time they open it to read the new chapter. It may also help you Increase your writing quality because you will be focusing on a smaller amount of work at a time.
The other reviews don’t do this master piece justice. This is a top tier gem, it’s funny as fuxk and seriously reading it gives you goosebumps. I’m telling you the MC is hella scheming, this guy be playing all sort of grandpas and he has OP ability too. if u like smart mc that stays low-key while playing everyone like a dog then this is for you
Story and pass not bad. Decent world build, characters can go from being all over the place or feel 1d like 0-100 which is confusing. The most annoying thing though is too much unnecessary auntie notes/interjections, just be confident that readers can understand. And reduce all the stuff at end of each chapter, really sucks when you have speech on and it drags on endlessly
