At chapter 70 and I have very mixed feelings about this novel. First off, it has a lot of potential and so far, it's pretty good tbh. As for why I have mixed feelings; pretty much entirely because of how the MC is portrayed.. It seems the author has fumbled slightly when making a manipulative MC. The MCs intelligence can only be considered above average while everyone else is just stupid. Second issue, the MC is very arrogant. I will say, I 100% am for an arrogant MC...but they MUST be charismatic and strong to back that up (example: Ren from TAPOV). Orien is just cocky and annoying at points. I will say, he is getting development, but he needs A LOT at this point to be a good MC. I will keep reading because, as I said, it has a lot of potential.

I have followed this author for a couple of books, and overall, I enjoy them quite a bit. This story has a bit of a quick pace at first to get the reader engaged. Then, later, build the world as the story progresses as well as to better flesh out the characters. As everything is built upon and brought together the questions that come about due to the foreshadowing that the author has presented will slowly be answered while making more questions come about.

This novel is compelling and intriguing. The tension is relentless and the mysteries are haunting and addictive. I love it and make sure to read guys
