I would recommend reading it.

I really liked this except for:
A) I honestly think there should have been /some/ kind of romance. There is so many potential people for him to get involved with and he really doesn't with any of them.
B) The ending is too open ended for me. And there is still some stuff that I'm not sure got wrapped up. (annoyed you don't get Jessica's back story, among other things.)

Its otherwise great, there is a ton of things going on and if you can keep up with the explanations I think most of it is consistent and explained well.

Is the 5th floor saga worth reading? I don't like the topic of cyborgs.

i can't seem to remember because it's been a while since i read this

can't get enough of it... so interesting and full of action....
