I really can't decide how to rate this one. I keep wavering between ten and zero.
On the one hand, the story is barely coherent, it trivializes serious issues, and it all feels very superficial... but on the other hand, Pure Trance is a wild burst of imagination on the page, paired with stunningly beautiful artwork.
I'm not quite sure how to categorize something like this. I could assign it a middle-ground rating, but I think the work transcends that—it's both better and worse than an average score would suggest. It truly is unique. I just don't know exactly what *kind* of unique it is.
