What a delightful read! It evokes a range of emotions, tugging at the heartstrings with its raw and authentic storytelling. Although the pace is deliberate, it adds depth to the narrative, making it captivating. I found myself completely engrossed, unable to put the book down.

The characters are complex, their imperfections adding layers of realism. This isn't a conventional love story; instead, it explores the enduring bond between two childhood friends who, despite life's challenges, rekindle their connection after facing adversity independently. The protagonist, MC, is an extraordinary character – strong, genuine, always striving for self-improvement, and maintaining a positive outlook. Her determination and honesty make her stand out.

ML, on the other hand, is an exceptional love interest – loyal, caring, and deeply devoted to her. He instinctively puts her needs first and navigates their relationship with sensitivity and understanding. The supporting characters bring a rich tapestry to the story, with their flawed yet relatable qualities.

The focus on MC and ML's journey, where they become each other's source of light, is truly beautiful. Their unwavering affection for one another is the heart of the story. I wholeheartedly recommend this book, especially if you enjoyed the author's previous work, 'Secretly, Secretly; But Unable to Hide It,' which I have revisited numerous times.

I attempted to engage with this, but unfortunately, I must cease. FL (Female Lead) proves to be dreadfully uninteresting as the central character. Her emotional range is limited mostly to anxiety, and she lacks dynamic responses, resulting in an overall flat portrayal. As the adage goes, a one-dimensional character can make for a monotonous story. Moreover, the Male Lead follows the formulaic traits commonly found in many CN (Chinese web novel) clichés.
