This is the inaugural comment for this novel. If you're considering starting, give it a try, but only if you don't mind a harem theme. What kept me engaged was the main character and her strategies. She's not overly powerful compared to typical ancient Chinese novel heroes – she's a modern woman adapting to ancient customs. The male lead is an emperor with around 15 consorts, and he consistently accepts them throughout his reign. By mid-story, I could relate to the dynamics of the time, believing it was necessary for balance in the court. Despite having multiple children and consorts, he genuinely cared for the MC, though this isn't explicitly shown in the narrative. She views him as her children's father, which is reasonable given the context. They both have feelings for each other, but her love for her kids prevails.

There's a touching moment towards the end, which might bring tears. He asks her to be buried with him after her death, but, being from the 21st century, she declines, saying, "Born in the same bed doesn't mean dying in the same grave." When discussing burial together, he holds her hand, seeking reassurance, and upon hearing her refusal, he releases her hand and takes his last breath.

Some aspects I enjoyed about this book include:

    1. Well-developed characters without excessive dominance.
    2. Balanced character powers (for both the ML and MC).
    3. It offers an engaging portrayal of a woman's life within a harem, including favor, pregnancy, manipulation, raising children, and their eventual marriages, all leading up to the tragic conclusion of the emperor's death.

Please excuse any grammar or spelling errors.

"Consort Shu" by Xiao Qiao Liushui is among the finest imperial harem novels I've ever encountered, rivalling "The Job of an Imperial Concubine." Shen Moyun's journey begins as one of the four primary concubines, yet it takes her an arduous two decades to ascend to the empress throne.

The bond between the emperor and Shen Moyun is complex. Due to his unfaithfulness, she can't offer unconditional love, yet over time, she comes to value him. Shen Moyun acknowledges that the emperor consistently treats her and their children with care.

I believe "Consort Shu" effectively portrays the dynamics of relationships in ancient times. A woman accepts the sharing of her husband with other women, perceives him as a confidant and provider for their offspring, yet her heart may remain partially guarded.

Petit Roid 3 is a Hentai, Sci-fi, Comedy manga centered around an ordinary teenage boy, Shibamata Youchi, who receives three adorable robo-girls from his brilliant grandfather. While the premise may seem absurd, and it's unusual for me to review a hentai manga, this one truly stands out among the rest. One of the key reasons for its distinction is the presence of a continuous storyline that evolves effectively over the course of its 18 chapters. Naturally, as a hentai, it includes the typical sex scenes, but the seamless integration of comedy into these adult moments is a significant advantage.

The artwork is another strong point, with each panel consistently well-drawn, making even the sex scenes easy to follow. The characters boast excellent designs that align perfectly with their clichéd personalities.

The cast features your standard teenager alongside a group of cute girls designed to cater to his desires, with their android nature eliminating the constraints of a realistic narrative. There are also additional supporting characters who contribute to the story and deliver plenty of humor.

In summary, Petit Roid 3 is a hilariously entertaining hentai manga that distinguishes itself from others in several ways, such as its length and cohesive storyline. It caters to various fetishes (loli, bukkake, S&M, etc.) to satisfy any reader while remarkably managing to be both amusing and arousing simultaneously. However, as a hentai manga, there are inherent limitations to what it can achieve. Despite this, it is certainly worth checking out for any fan of the genre.
