From my expierence on this website I have read many of good books. But honestly none of them even come close to the quality that is shown from this one. I cant help but feel refreshed when reading this book, not because I enjoy the main characters pain but because his pain is actually relatable. He doesnt only get physically hurt like most main characters but he also gets mentally hurt. His struggles are not only large monsters that want to smash him to a pulp but also his struggle to understand himself and what he feels during his journey. Never have I read such a good book on this website and I honestly doubt anything will come close for quite awhile. Bravo and keep up the great work Mr. Author.
I binged the story in the past few days. I decided to take a break before continuing the journey. I wish to write honest feedback before any recollection gets muddled. I am a very picky reader so I may be biased. I will go through my thoughts relative to other works expected from webnovel.
The author is passionate in what he does. He pushed himself everyday and relys on the readers for motivation. It is evident in his recent work that kept me reading unlike his previous work. For reasons I can't recall, I couldn't get past it's single digits. I'll be following his projects in the future the will surely be better.
Anyways, let get back to the subject.
The story is nothing special. A work one who enjoys the classic solo edgy beat em up would enjoy. There are certain aspects that makes it preferable compared to the rest. There is no mention of systems and 'skills/magics' are not explored anatomically. This allows for more focus on the story that many novels fail to understand. Characters are explored in more detail, monologues are more prevalent, everything one expects from a webnovel is there and more.
But that's where it ends.
The core of the story is set in flaws just like every other novel. The Mc has a questionable incentive, the world is nothing special/ doubtful perhaps and most character have a pretense of third dimensionality
Going into slight detail, the Mc's motivation mostly arises from a reoccurring nightmare. Personal ideologies push the Mc in pursuit of power. I prefer them to be more tangible/physical. It gives more substance to motivation compared to a drive derived from an unrealistic unbreakable will.
The Mc is perceived with a lot of flaws, the core of what makes characters alive. When the flaws are put to the test however, they never falter. It annoys me when it occurs in the story. Show me some weakness, sacrifice the mc's objective success and potential, loss friends, family because of these weaknesses. These weaknesses are bottled up and rationally explored for growth instead of exploding unfavorably for a more organic story. The Mc is a Mary Sue when it matters.
The world revolves around the Mc. No single action from characters can alter the perceived story like the Mc. For this reason and many minor others, characters don't feel alive and relevant even though some are explored in detail. Any given character has to be written like a Mc. That is what makes the world vivid and lively. Perhaps George is a fair character but the author Insistance on the Mc's solo action doesn't give him a chance to shine.
The Mc meets love interests at the beginning of each planet. The Mc relys on them for growth. I like reliance but they don't necessarily need to be love interests. It gets tiring.
For reasons mentioned above, the world inst exciting beyond the expected big bad needs to die. One example, the juxtaposition of Mcs enrollment in a military and his continued defiance of orders and relished freedom bothers me. Whether the military has reasons for them or not, it goes against the perceived realism associated to these associations. Many more occur in the story making it wacky.
EveofChaos is proving that he is a writing machine. Writing two book, totalling 5chapters a day between the two, is outstanding. Well done Eve! Keep it up.
Chaos’Heir is a scifi with more fictional elements at the moment. Character development is going smoothly and tension is building in the story. If you are looking for a new book to read I recommend picking up this one. Don’t mind the cliffhangers, they just build your addiction.
A million girlfriends, new one every 3-6 months - Its the most annoying thing in this novel, ruining story for me. Does mc have nothing better to do? His loyalty is non existent, its a miracle he is still loyal to humanity and not a retard traitor like mc in Avatar or smth.
Starts interesting enough with the first 100 or so chapters being the story of a young boy that goes to a military academy and is on his way to becoming a soldier. Then makes an abrupt turn and spends the next 100 or so chapters focusing on passionate young love that prevails against all challenges. They know each-other only two weeks before their love reaches an unshakeable level, more passionate, true and free and hones than any love that's ever loved. Oh, and the MC is a martial genius, prodigy and the one to always save the day with everyone else just a pale shadow of his magnificence. Well, its not quite as bad as that but you get the idea.
Most annoying is how the story turned from being a soft military fantasy to being a romantic fantasy. Its not badly written, but its also not what I started reading.
It's a great novel to read. It's always satisfying to see a successful writer on WebNovel continue making original, high quality stories for us to enjoy.
The vibe of Chaos Heir is (so far) different to Demonic Sword. However there are similar themes.
what can i say other than that after 195 chapters this has become my all time fav story of the last 5 years. For sure my fav on webnovel. Its just so good . it hits all the right spots for me. I love the world the intrigue the Characters are SOOO GOOD i love it . Boy does the mc and the current main girl have the best relationship chemestry ( if some happens to this pairing ima be upset for real). What else other than im here for more ur doing amazing . ❤
One of the rare action packed novel which has a well done smooth romance. Even without romance, the novel would be definetly one of the best. The mana system is pretty interesting and several thing are yet to be revealed. The emotions the people feel before going to the battlefield feel real as though you are going there yourselves without compromising the negative aspect of being in the army. The author does a superb job with Emotions. The thing i hope the author continues focusing on is the mc personality and so far he's done it wonderfully. Definetly recommended.
....
a bit of spoiler(opinion based)
i hope the author does not go normal route of killing liiza(saying this because my poor heart wont be able to handle the shock
I can confirm that the Romance in this story has a problem.
Not to say that it’s bad writing, but it gets too much sometimes.
The MC is practically raised mostly on his romances.
What I mean is that each girl he dates provides the MC a chance to develop his character, some even going as far as helping him develop his abilities.
There are times when he’s in between relationships, but most of the time he’s in one. And when he’s in a relationship, rarely is there a chapter where he doesn’t do some display of romance (not to mention the number of times they did more than pillow talk to end a chapter).
This is all understandable, as the romance partners become a reason that’s pushing the MC to get stronger, but still… can they not flirt with each other every g*dd*mn chapter!?

If the romance was not there it would definitely reached top 30
