‘Navia Agnes,’ adopted to marry the Crown Prince on behalf of the Duke of Agnes’ ill daughter.

“I want to be a real family.”

Navia, who had been hung up on her family’s affection, does her best to become an empress while being abused, but the moment Vivian, the duke’s biological daughter, is cured, her family abandons her.

No, it would be fair to say that they abandoned her every time.

“How much longer do I have to try? To be your family.”

Navia took off her blood-soaked gloves.

Then on her right wrist, an invisible number that wasn’t visible to others was revealed.

1

Looking down at the numbers, she calmly confessed.

“Now, I’m going to stop playing with family games.”

At that moment, the number on the wrist changed.

0

Like that, a life that started again.

“If you touch me, you’ve to pay the price.”

Will she be able to take revenge on the Duke of Agnes and find a temporary family to protect her until she reaches adulthood?

This story is a captivating revenge tale of a young girl who has been deeply hurt by the elitist society. Watching the duke and his family at the mercy of an 8-year-old mastermind is truly entertaining. The protagonist exhibits ruthless determination, putting her own life on the line to bring down the Agnes family. However, one downside is that almost every character, from the nobility to the servants, comes across as despicable – unlikable to the core. It's infuriating how the main character, Vivian, lacks support from a strong male or female lead to help her achieve her goal. One can only hope for a happier ending where she finds peace, perhaps living a simple life on a farm away from the city's chaos, after avenging those who wronged her, including the young Vivian. Believe me, the villains deserve no better fate than to meet their downfall.

It's fantastic! I adore how our character Navia stands out with her intelligence and wit, unlike those weak, helpless white lotus protagonists who just wait for a knight in shining armor. She's truly powerful in her own right, and I'm a big fan. The concept and storytelling pace of the novel are exceptional - they strike a perfect balance that keeps me engaged, which is rare for this genre. Normally, I'd lose interest, but this one has managed to maintain my interest without being too fast or slow. The plot seems solid too, and I have high hopes for it. I'm eagerly anticipating meeting her new family. As for the characters, I hope for certain dramatic events, like Wood and Nikan's demise. I wonder if Vivian has a dark side. I'm curious about how the crown prince, who was deeply fond of her, will react to her death. Will his feelings be genuine love or merely instrumental? It's refreshing to see a prince prioritize a strong and capable empress over an empty-headed one, but I doubt he's the main love interest.

I'm impatiently awaiting more readers to discover this gem, and I hope a spoiler thread is released soon.

The narrative primarily revolves around FL's formative years, but the growth-up segment accelerates at an impressive pace, almost exhausting character development in the early chapters. As the story progresses, it shifts focus onto gods and their avatars, particularly when FL turns 20.

FL possesses a unique characteristic: she lives nine lives, with her final one granting her the power of the moon. This journey unfolds in five distinct phases, with the fourth phase featuring minimal usage of her powers. However, in the climax, she overcomes her childhood traumas using them.

The male lead (ML) plays a less prominent role, primarily following FL's storyline. Initially, he's unaware of his feelings for her, but after several years, he realizes and accepts his love. By then, FL discovers her own affection for him. Intriguingly, ML even becomes the reincarnation of FL's father, though this revelation doesn't feature prominently in the plot, serving more as a background detail.

FL's father, portrayed as a doting parent, can be quite possessive and childlike towards his daughter, showcasing a deep emotional connection. Despite knowing his wife has passed away, he remains devotedly married to her spirit.

The essence of this narrative lies in the lingering despair after a broken heart, a sentiment共鸣 for those who have experienced historical trauma. The protagonist is astute, yet her imperfections stem from the scars left by abuse—undeniably authentic. One harrowing aspect of domestic violence (or any form of group abuse) is its capacity to isolate victims and strip them of understanding what a healthy life looks like.

It's disheartening to see the project seemingly abandoned, but I fervently hope it finds renewed interest and support.

The narrative is impressive thus far. The protagonist, MC, demonstrates intelligence, and the setting feels grounded in reality. Navia's plan is impressively well-thought-out, as she deftly employs her understanding of her family dynamics and surroundings. She possesses a keen eye for spotting opportunities, knowing exactly who or what can aid her. What's commendable is that she doesn't exploit others; she knows when and how to show gratitude and reward those who support her.

I originally discovered this manhwa due to its captivating artwork, and I stayed because the storyline was intriguing. The moment I started seeking spoilers in online forums, I realized I had become completely absorbed. Regardless, I appreciate the way the drama unfolds, and I'm eager to see how it concludes in a beautiful narrative. It doesn't have a tragic element, does it?

This is a gripping tale of revenge with an excellent pacing, and the characters are well-developed, avoiding one-dimensional stereotypes. I appreciate how it deviates from the typical FL or ML tropes where the protagonist behaves predictably. It's a breath of fresh air and definitely worth reading, as it offers depth and complexity to its characters.
