It's not my usual practice to leave reviews, but this one compelled me to share. The storyline might be unconventional, but let's consider the context: our main lead, standing at 188 cm, operates in a genre where that height carries specific implications.

I must say, despite the unconventional plot, the male lead (ML) put in genuine effort. In fact, he surpasses some of the weaker MLs I've come across. As someone who values hard work, I found the dynamics between the main character (MC) and the ML quite uncomfortable. Their reliance on each other and the affection portrayed could be attributed more to psychological factors than true love, which slightly bothered me. I've encountered similar situations in real life, and they often don't end happily. However, it's important to remember that this is a work of fiction, so approach it as a relaxing read and enjoy it for what it is.

Before diving into the novel, please take a moment to review the tags, as some readers might overlook them and rate negatively due to mature content. The plot is engaging, with unexpected twists, particularly in revealing the main character's backstory. The protagonist is my favorite among all, although the male lead's actions at times can be excused, if you will, by his mental instability; there's room for improvement in understanding consent.

Although I haven't read it recently, I recall the adorable adopted children, whose heartwarming bond with the MC and ML was lovely. They truly cherish their new family and support each other in unique ways. I would enjoy reading more about their growth.

The stepbrother also stands out as a character, gradually gaining appeal as the story progresses. The side stories or extras provided a satisfying conclusion, even though the plot isn't light-hearted. Give it a chance despite the ratings, as you might find it enjoyable.

Wishing you a pleasant reading experience!

"This is my very first time writing reviews! >~< The initial two chapters initially made me skim-read (believe me, I have exceptional patience, usually I don't skip), but this story captured my interest. It easily ranks among my favoriteBL stories! The plot twist regarding Shou's and Gong's backgrounds, which I initially assumed, was pleasantly surprising. They resolved their misunderstandings in a heart-wrenching yet beautiful way. Shou is both rational and kind-hearted (I should note that they didn't have any intimate scenes until chapter 23; Shou is strong and not foolish, managing to stop the ML's advances). The ML has a possessive nature, but he's better in a way. Everything in the story is executed flawlessly - it's simply exquisite! Give it a read and see if you'll enjoy it as much as I do."

Oh dear, how can I erase this disturbing novel from my mind... It feels like I've regressed to the era of 90s and early 2000s yaoi manga, where rape was often sugarcoated or overlooked. The main character, though, is quite appealing – sharp-witted, intelligent, and charismatic. I do appreciate possessiveness, but only when it comes with consent. My tolerance was stretched, but the protagonist's actions pushed it too far – drugging and attempting, then actually raping the MC, multiple times, while they were under the influence of someone else's drugs. This is triggering for me.

The main lead's supposed mental issues might explain their behavior, but the lack of empathy is heart-wrenching. Finding an MC who wasn't overly submissive was refreshing, but instead, they're reduced to an object. I wonder if the MC's decision to stay and endure further harassment might have set off a chain reaction, as if their actions could change the course. The MC seems to prioritize financial guilt and public image over their own well-being, which a psychologist should surely recognize as unhealthy.

And let's not forget the manipulative contract signed, forcing a 50-year commitment with a hefty penalty to keep MC trapped. No more, I've had enough; moving on to something better!

I love this storyline. Every time he calls her kitten, makes me smile and it’s hot. Keep the chapters coming. You are one hell of a writer!
