Thugs are going to get interesting as you go along... but in a heavily political way where America (sorry "Sunset Empire")'s top tech owners amd it's ambassadors, reporters attitude and mannerisms are ripped straight out of a Xantia, the evil overloard template. I mean they are possibly not the greatest people, but easily angered narcissistic neanderthals is the default (& so far only) template.Also the retaliation event later on. I don't think the MC whom is considered a genius by that time (or the author), considers what happened in hospitals, doctor's offices and similarly sensitive infrastructure, this is not a good guy by any means(though he is painted as such).

Honestly, i thought the plot armor was not that big of a deal. I was wrong, terribly and extremely wrong. This is a force field of plot armor, it spread everywhere and affect everything. But if you can deal with it it become a funny story
the author's previous novel had a very nice start (until a bit after trial read ended) n then the author converted the novel into trash by very badly copying another novel..can't help but worry it'll be the same for this novel so not gonna waste my time on this
'Arthur' made up a story where she was ambushed due to her reputation and he saved her while her guard distracted them. Of course, Joseph didn't know that 'Arthur' was already stronger than him already.
