Normally I avoid mixtures of sci fi and cultivation. To me it's too intangible. After 20 chapters I still have no idea about the setting. Review at 164 (spoilers): He's very selfless and honorable. This is very rare for a MC in wuxia. There are a few well-crafted characters with predictable arcs. There is no harem, no romantic tension ever, until recently there is not even a female who looks at him as a man. He's always with beautiful females, but they view him as a pathetic loser or a tragic pity case. He encounters new people that pity him around every corner. He is and will always be too weak to impress them with his might or stand up for himself. All named characters view him as trash, minus a few servants who vanish. If this is the formula at 164, then it will likely be the formula until the final 100 chapters. Too many cultivation stages, and the narrative is oddly more vulgar than the dialogue. A  sci fi tag, but the world has no compasses, penicillin or communication devices. It's like the author's StrongestAbandonedSon, but with a weaker MC, the romance edited out, and the word "machines" used a few times.Being able to complain about every little thing is one of the important facets of reading wuxia imo.3. "he was not someone a lowly personnel like Hu Fei could mess with." But he was just planning to kill him. I'll probably see this nonsense over and over. I love this author's StrongestAbandonedSon, and this is fine so far.6. His servant is very likable, but there are many similar characters in wuxia. I just have faith in this author for now. I don't understand what the value of a cultivator is in this world. I don't think it was stated yet.7. The old "nobody could ever possibly have a reason to visit this place" style of guard. That's always great for business. Welcome to stupid land.9. The good thing about this author is he doesn't forget to make his MC whine internally about something. People he misses, or things he needs to do for people he loves. Every author just builds soulless self-centered cultivators. It's a shame that Yan'er is gone, but it's better to lose her now, when we barely know her or care.  Nice details about black bread. So cultivators are allowed to kidnap and enslave anyone in this world. What else?21. Yan'er's possessions. This was great. I've read so many awful series that had almost no characters. Eternal Reverence actually has not a single character.29. "Are there really other empires?" How does he not have access to a map in a world of tech? I don't know what the setting is.30. Cao Hao is correct, the MC's ignorance is really odd and out of place. Using him as the everyman who experiences the world with us isn't working here. Get him to a library.31. This author always throws rich princess types at his MCs, so I expect this will fall apart quickly, "Mo Wuji was unwilling to be friends with people from big families." How is that nugget Wen Manzhu able to follow him everywhere.38. Having to survive in this world without any cultivation seems antithetical to a cultivation series. He probably should have become a cultivator by chapter10.48. This cultivation world has "machines" but that's all. I can't recall any other tech being mentioned.64. The reunion is handled so poorly that it feels surreal. This author usually has a handle on these things. It even feels like parts were missing, like a whole chapter even, considering how this author would normally labor about this stuff.98. Very good still. I love the Wan'Er tragedy stuff. I'm a big fan of the tragedy tag, and the harem tag. I still am not sure of the setting. I'm waiting for there to be a Also this author will have an MC's friends just randomly appear any place, with no real explanation. It's silly, but I love it sometimes.100. It's claiming he's average, but before he said he's a top talent in any sect for achieving level2 in 2 months.103. His home is becoming a location for people targeted for death. Repetitive.104. The sect would deprive him of formulas to advance? Not a chance. She would deceive him by giving him a partial thing? Nah. The author tried to do something subtle and cute, but it flopped.124. It's amazing to consider he is doing everything for Yan'er. So many other wuxia MCs are incredibly unlikable by comparison. They would never do anything for a loyal servant. However, by chapter 50ish of this author's StrongestAbandonedSon, there were already 3-5 women who were infatuated with Ye Mo. In this there is nobody.126. This is a much different path for a MC. He isn't the best at everything, which I would prefer, yet it still feels good that he is top 10.129. This series paints quite a consistent picture of the immortal mindset. In the series Grasping Evil the MC rapes women often, or steals thousands of female slaves for dual cultivation purposes, but if you keep in mind these are just immortals, then it's ok because to be a cultivator is to accept this possibility. 139. He's always getting cucked or pitied like this. Not a single female desires him. Not one ever. Not even a rumor of a female liking him. Not even Yan'er thinks of him that way. He's totally devoid of charm or appeal. Not a man.140. Mo Wuji is such a bitch. He'll always be a bitch too. The formula is firmly set in stone at this point. He's helpful and useful, but he's like a friend of the family who enjoys mowing your lawn or plowing the snow out of your driveway.151. " She has to follow me for 10 years, and learn my heart technique" as expected. I thought she'd be taken away as a disciple by Granny for the reason of having supreme spiritual roots. The authors always need reasons to break apart and reunite the harem. Although this eunuch has no harem. The obvious next steps: when she's healed she won't remember him, she'll be engaged to someone powerful, she'll be taken from Granny by someone even stronger as a disciple, etc. Even Yan'er will look down on him and hold him in disdain, just like everyone who has ever met him. Mo Wuji, the pitiful creature.155. As a level4 refiner, they would want him badly. He'll be under age 100 for quite a while. He already placed 50th, next time he'll be better. Duh. The author even had to point out his own gibberish writing, how this was directly insulting the higher ups.156. I'm so glad there is a new reason for everyone to view this bitch MC as trash, and pity him. Hooray for more pity. More and more blatant filler, repeating the same paragraph twice, or a point you just read getting it's own paragraph without new content added.162. "he was also worried about the lecturer seeing all these guys lying there like dead pigs and scolding him to no end" Were they worried about this? No, so stop being a bitch.164. The MC is asexual, so what does it matter if he visits Yan'er or kills himself. He completed his mission, now the series is done. I can't think of anything he is striving towards right now. I personally am very interested in Shaoying, but that's it. Does MC want to live forever? Why? Any goals? None. I wonder if the author will have a memory-wiped Yan'er beat the hell out of MC just to emphasize the point that she loathes him now.165. Kneeling on the ground to her? This gets more and more pathetic. What happened to this character.174. Now that he's spirit-building, people will have to slightly modify how they humiliate him. So much progress.178. He has to run away from a sect after killing someone? Where have I heard this before. Even as he powered up, the repetitive story makes it feel like no progress was made, and we won't see Shaoying again. Just aimless wandering and pointless cultivation.180. Yan'er is the emotional center of the story. Everything revolves around her. Now she is just a soulless cultivator like any other bitch. Why do we like this weak bitch MC? Because he is loyal to Yan'er. I can't even remember MC's name as I type this. Now there is nothing. In the future this nothing will be repaired to something, but it will take a long time. Will the author correctly fill this void with someone else? No, he won't realize what has happened here.181. Here he is in sniveling bitch mode again. As usual. This was tolerable when he had a goal of saving his loyal servant. Now he has nothing and nobody. lol his awkward hand withdrawn, what a loser.184. There's no point reading his interactions with her. There is no way this will develop into a relationship. He is eternally the pathetic kid brother. No bottlenecks lol. "His intention of coming here was solely to train and then find ways to advance into the next realm." I don't care about this world either, but it's pretty funny for him to not care at all about it being wiped out, and to instead only care about advancing his cultivation. Such a typical soulless cultivator mindset.186. I miss the servants because they didn't view him as trash.187. The MC is so pathetically weak. I'm not sure if I've seen anything this sad before. He's like a small child trying to play sports with the big kids. Totally out of place and pitiful.199. The runty little kid became a man, but his identity is still hidden so that everyone can continue viewing him as pitiful trash. Whatever happened to Wen Manzhu and the other people who have vanished? This author would bring back females a hundred times in StrongestAbandonedSon - which was great.202. No characters or consistency. He's cultivating so fast that it's ridiculous. Nobody even knew he was in the SpiritBuilding stage, now he's beyond it already.  I'm enjoying some of this, but the alien invasion of the world is kind of a distraction. What does anything matter when that is happening? Kind of absurd.217. This whole thing was based on the silly idea that a little wind is too much for his "flying car", so none of this works.229. I skipped some of the junk, so I don't know what happened to Aunt Eleven and Mo Xiangtong. I guess I should stop caring.230. The Tian Ji sect is garbage, and he wasn't responsible for the downfall. Get a new mission and motivation. Something worth your energy. Is he really planning to stay on the lost continent for much longer anyway?233. I waited 100 chapters and this is what I get of Shaoying. The only character that has ever viewed him as a man. There has never even been the excuse of, "well I got backstabbed, so I don't feel ready to love again," he's just pure eunuch. That competition means nothing to me. Skip skip skip.238. Cen Shuyin has no interest in MC, so I have no interest in her. Just a friend who pities MC. Dull. There's no romantic tension in any scene, except with Shaoying, so the whole series is many times inferior to StrongestAbandonedSon due to this.240. The contemptible trash was in a few sects and didn't acquire anything to increase his combat ability " If he was in a sect, what was a simple pole art? "246. Laying down roots in a wuxia just means the author will have the villains terrorize and screw with that sect/city/nation. I've always thought GooseFive's idea of setting up your own city/nation/sect is stupid. 250. I always enjoy when the MC has an aura that allows others to comprehend martial skills or cultivate faster, but the author usually forgets it. Why were there ever regular comments about how Mo Wuji didn't want to slaughter or kill lots of people, when he does it regularly? The narration is filled with inaccuracies.252. This is boring. What is the point of any of this. Has he mentioned Yan'er lately, or did every single interesting character get taken away to Zhen Mo Mountain. Characters are important, and these sect members mean nothing. Just a weird forced diversion.254. Shaoying will probably end up powerful in some way, but that would make her entirely different, so it won't be the same. She could have been Yan'er 2261. This series definitely turned out different from what I expected. He's still in Ye Mo (strongest abandoned son) mode. Whatever happened to the 10 year heart technique that Yan'er needed to learn from Granny Linglong?266. "Becoming the alliance head will protect you." 269. Imagine if he had even one harem member. This series could have been really great.278. So now his motivation is to help some friend of the fishing Elder. Who cares. Cen Shuyin might be in trouble, but he didn't care, and I don't care. She's just one of many women who pity him. Oh, Xia Mu. How strong will he need to be do kill Xia Mu though. WorldyImmortal perhaps.282. Star Wars sounds dull. Two females have viewed him as a man so far, in this whole world. There was that girl in a crowd that mentioned being heart-broken at some tale, but that's different. In a good wuxia I would have lost track long ago. This Rong He having slightly tan skin means that no wuxia author would ever put her in a harem.288. She has a marriage certificate, and is a widow. If this old bag of bones is the first harem member, then this is a pretty big insult to Mo Wuji.289. The Xia clan likely already know Mo Wuji is Rogue Cultivator 2705 though, or they could find it out easily.290. How the hell did Mo Wuji show up on a board as Rogue Cultivator 2705. This series is pretty stupid. I don't expect it to ever be explained. This series kind of died at chapter 180 when Yan'er was fixed anyway. Then he turned into an asexual Ye Mo a bit later on. The story is not interesting, the locations are dull, his power ups are not interesting or imaginative anymore.305. The great thing about StrongestAbandonedSon being modern was that people were not only considered relevant if they were as talented or as powerful as the MC. There was a much bigger character pool to pull from. With this cultivators-only setting you have to do stupid stuff like powering 30 people up mysteriously, and even the authors know it it's too ridiculous.310. Yan'er really became an awful person, but I guess that's due to her slave-like mindset. She followed Shi Jinwen's lead, then this former Alliance Head woman, and they have a great effect on her. Whether or not you view her as redeemable after this is up to you.313. Auction house scenes are a blight on wuxia.318. Poison Fairy was an interesting character. This author can throw together a character in one or two chapters that other wuxia can't manage to build up with 200 chapters.324. Amazing chapter. I love this stuff. He used to be a weak bitch in front of her, and she had to protect him, and now he gets to protect... oh wait that didn't go so well.325. And now it's very obvious he could have saved her with this Scholar's Flame. It's hard to ignore that. The author remembered the laser guns finally lol. Sigh... this was a beautiful moment GooseFive stomped on. I don't like harem members dying, even if this is most likely temporary.326. Women never have faith in the MC in any series. Usually it's just doubting he can overcome some challenge. Prediction: the purpose of claiming Cen Shuyin is his wife is so he won't get any other females for a long time. Yan'er as well will probably avoid any romantic thoughts due to it.
