If you enjoy showbiz novels, this one might just capture your interest!
This is probably my favorite book featuring a main character who transmigrates with a violent past into a peaceful world.
In many transmigration stories I've read, the transmigration itself often feels unnecessary and has minimal impact on the main character's psychology, worldview, or behavior. While I can usually overlook this as a result of poor writing, I find the concept less believable when it's handled this way.
In this book, however, the main character is profoundly influenced by his past. He truly feels like someone who has grown up in a different, more harsh environment.
Additionally, the relationship between the main character (MC) and the love interest (ML) is both sweet and realistic. Their personalities and interactions are genuinely charming!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end.
The beginning was a bit rocky, feeling somewhat abrupt—like we were suddenly thrown into a mediocre variety show. However, it improved significantly as the story progressed. It’s a very slow burn, but I adored the romance!
While the plot wasn’t the strongest, it was still decent enough for a BL entertainment novel. The same goes for the side characters.
I particularly enjoyed the moments when the main character showcased his skills. These instances weren’t overly frequent (he’s not a Gary Stu), but it was satisfying to see his abilities come into play at crucial times. He got to shine a bit, but it remained realistic.
, it’s not a bad read, especially if you enjoy entertainment BL novels. I’d give it a 4.5 because while everything else is decent, not spectacular, the main characters’ personalities and romantic developments elevated it above a 4 for me.
