This novel, in my honest opinion, have bunch of times where the character was doing something that contradicted their canon personality in the early parts, it get better though
The most biggest mistake was deleting 2 romance interest without giving any concrete explanation, other than that it's okay
Still, it’s a good read, just be prepared to put your thinking cap on!
Thank you, translator.
This book demands a lot of mental effort, and if you attempt to machine-translate it, you'll find yourself losing brain cells at a rapid pace.
I both hated and kind of liked the novel. It was so uncomfortable that I had to read the reviews, and Xiao Jing Ya summed it all up perfectly.
Since this novel was too complicated for me, I dropped it, but I’m not discouraging others from reading it. It has potential, but even then, I can't quite figure out what to rate it, so I didn’t give it one.
I'm not sure how Chinese companies operate, but I don't think it's common practice to allow external personnel to work on internal projects. This was my biggest issue with the novel and it really threw me off.
The protagonist in the fourth book is an actor who is trying to open his own studio while still under an agency. However, it seemed to me that his studio already had a fully staffed company with C-level management. When the main character (MC) was a trainee, his manager used an electronic shocking device to torture him for not working properly, and no one tried to help or cared! Another issue that stunned me was that, despite having a fully staffed team, no one could function properly without the MC. When he left, his entire team fell apart. Managers and staff resigned, and he had to pay compensation fees. Moreover, no one could find a new job for him, not even himself. How could he survive in the entertainment industry, or in society in general, if he hadn't formed any relationships that might help him, despite being a top actor?
There were other various issues that I found strange, but it might just be that I wasn't giving the author enough benefit of the doubt.
Dropped.
(If the ML is that caregiver staff from W&P or Darren, I might reconsider finishing it.)
